A Pleasant Surprise
This chemise was quite a surprise for me! I feel like an absolute knock-out in it, even though the cups don't fit me well. It's comfortable enough for me to wear for hours (though not comfortable enough to sleep in), yet it's still incredibly sexy.

Pros
So beautiful, Sexy, High quality materials, Comfortable
Cons
Not as stretchy as I'd like, Cups are a little small
This one of those items that I just had to have, despite the fact that I didn't think it would flatter my figure. I remember the day I got -- I took it out of the package, and I looked at it with a hint of skepticism. It was so beautiful, but I couldn't picture myself wearing it. Reluctantly, I changed into the chemise, and took a glance in the mirror. Surprise! I looked fantastic. In fact, I looked so good that I didn't want to take it off!
The chemise is far from perfect, but it makes me feel like a knockout!
Basics:
The Lace-Up Ruffled Chemise and Thong set is made by Dreamgirl. It's, sadly, only available in red. If it were available in more colors, I would quickly snatch up every single one!
For those curious about where the item was made -- it was made in China, according to the tag.
Material & Care:
The chemise is made out of 86% Polyester and 12% Cotton -- or at least that's what the tag says. I know what you're thinking -- that only equals 98%! What's the rest of it made out of? Sadly, the chemise tag does not state, so I can't say one way or another what it is. I can, however, tell you how the material looks and feels.
The chemise is primarily made two types of material. There is the mesh panels, which cover the sides. Then, there are the thicker, patterned panels, which are found on the cups, front center, and back center.
The printed panels are opaque in nature, and they're truly gorgeous. They feature a sort of abstract floral pattern that is stunning to look at. The printed panels are quite thick and durable. These panels also have NO stretch to them at all.
Next up, there is the mesh. The mesh is, of course, sheer. The mesh is located on the little ruffle trims (on the bust, center front, and the bottom of the chemise), and on the side panels. It's very soft, and it's quite stretchy. It also feels pretty durable, and I've yet to snag it on anything.
The entire chemise is VERY comfortable to wear, despite the fact that it fits me very snugly. The fabric just isn't itchy in the least, even on my insanely sensitive skin!
Moving on..
The thong in this set is made out of 54% Polyester and 30% Cotton...which only equals 84%. What's the other 16%? I wish I knew! Dreamgirl doesn't seem to think it's important.
The thong is made out of the same patterned material that is found on the g-string. It is, again, very thick and durable, but it doesn't have any stretch to it at all. The straps, on the other hand, are made out of what feels like elastic, and so there's are stretchy. The g-string has a cotton pantyliner, making it suitable for everyday wear.
To care for both pieces, you're going to want to hand wash them in cold water. I do believe that the thong could survive a trip through the delicate cycle of the washing machine, but I would never risk putting the chemise through the machine.
Sizing:
This chemise is available in S, M, L, and XL. I took a chance and purchased the L.
According to a size chart, a L should fit someone with the following measurements:
Cups: C-D
Bust: 36-38"
Waist: 28-32"
Hips: 38-40"
I sort of just in this chemise. I wear a 34D bra (most of the time), and have a 32" waist. My hips measure 40". In order to get this chemise on, I sort of have to wiggle into it. Once it's on, it looks great, and I end up having to pull the lacing really tight to get it to fit me snugly. It's just when I'm taking it on and off that I feel like it's a smidge too small.
I do, however, feel that my breasts are too big for this chemise. The size chart says that it can fit C-D, and technically, it can. My D-cup breasts fit, but they look like they're going to burst out. Judging by my experience with this one, I'd say it's probably best for those with a small C cup.
As for the thong? It fits my 40" hips great. In fact, it even seems too large!

Experience
Sizing cont.
For those curious about length? I am 5'6", and I've found that the chemise is quite short. It comes right to the top of my bum, with only the ruffle covering a very small amount of it. I believe that that's how it's supposed to fit, though.
Design:
This chemise is designed to slip over your head. There is a little hook and eyelet closure on the back, but that doesn't undo the entire chemise. Rather, that closure just undoes the bra band; the rest of the chemise does not open unless you remove the lacing (which is a pain to do!). The hook and eyelet closure features two rows of eyelets, and two hooks.
This piece has quite a sexy design, with see-through sides, and an opaque center. The center of the chemise open, closed only by the ribbon that is laced across it. The ribbon is EXTREMELY long, so you can adjust the lacing to be as open, or as closed, as you want. For me, personally, I found that the lacing was too long, and so I ended up having to trim it.
The center of the chemise is surrounded by a mesh ruffle, and then by the print fabric. The print fabric continues all the way up to the cups, which are further detailed with some lacing, and some ruffles.
Flipping the chemise around, you'll see that there's that center print panel again. The sides of the chemise are a sheer red, which appears gorgeous against the print fabric. The bottom of the chemise has a cute litle ruffle.
The most important part in any chemise, for me, is bust support. This chemise has (very) lightly padded cups and underwire, so it does offer some support.
The chemise also features adjustable straps. The straps are not removable.
Quality:
For the price, the quality is impressive. I do feel like I'll probably have to sew the shoulder straps after awhile, as the seams there aren't great, but other than that? The quality is good.

Follow-up commentary

This is still one of my favorite lingerie items. I just feel absolutely gorgeous every time I wear it, and red isn't even my color. There's something about this piece that just screams of sexiness.
The piece has also held up really well to repeated wears and washes, too.

Nice review. It looks like it would be really pretty. That's hilarious about the content percentages! Maybe there's extra air in them or something, lol! It does make you wonder though, doesn't it?
