(3x/4x) Gorgeous black lace robe! The chemise is just ok.
I'm giving the robe a 5/5 stars because it's gorgeous! It has a pretty rose pattern, the satin tie is sewn on so I'll never lose it or have to recenter it, and it makes me look and feel sexy! The chemise is made for a larger bust so it doesn't fit me that well plus it's really low in the back. The straps are criss/crossed. The chemise is ok but it just kinda hangs off the body without any real shape. I'd give it a 3/5. I'd highly recommend getting this set just for the robe and the hanger!

Pros
The robe is gorgeous and sexy! Padded lingerie hanger included, comfortable
Cons
Straps are criss/crossed, the back is too low, very little stretch and no shape.
If you're a plus size girl I'd highly recommend picking up this set! The robe is absolutely gorgeous and well worth the price by itself. Think of the chemise and the cute padded hanger as an added bonus! I'm very happy with this purchase. Please note that the chemise has criss/crossed straps!
~Packaging~
It only took two days for my lingerie to arrive on my doorstep! It was sent in a plain cardboard box. Inside the box the robe and chemise were already on the included padded satin hanger and everything was wrapped inside of a large clear plastic bag.
~Material~
The robe is made of a very delicate rose patterned lace that needs to be treated carefully. If you handle it roughly or snag it on anything you could easily tear it. It's made of 100% nylon and the lace is stretchy. The robe has a satin tie that is sewn into the middle/back of the robe and cannot be removed. The ties are very long and even though it is sewn onto the back of the robe it doesn't effect the sizing or adjusting at all. It ties around the bottom of the bust. I actually love it because with other robes I often find myself losing the tie in my room, in the wash, or it just gets uneven and needs constant adjusting. I love that the tie is sewn on the back because you'll never lose it and it'll always be perfectly even! The ends of the sleeves and the neckline are trimmed in satin but the bottom hem is not lined. The bottom of the robe has a "lettuce edge" and looks very nicely finished. I don't see any loose threads or ends on the robe.
The chemise is a very shiny and slippery satin. It's made of 100% polyester. The straps stretch and can be adjusted like the straps on a bra. The straps are crossed unlike a typical chemise and can be a little confusing to figure out at first. The chemise cups and the neckline/backline are trimmed in elastic but it barely stretches if at all. It gives you a tiny little bit of wiggle room but not much so don't count on it. The rest of the chemise has no stretch at all. The bottom hem of the chemise has the same "lettuce edge" and doesn't have any loose threads. Overall both pieces look very nicely made. As you can see from the pics the chemise flares out at the hips allowing for a more comfortable fit for plus size ladies. Where you can see the tag on the back of the chemise is where the low cut starts.

Experience
~Color~
Both the robe and the chemise are black.
~Size~
This review is on the 3x/4x size. To see the Dreamgirl size chart Click Here.
I ordered the 3x/4x size because I like my robes to be big and comfortable. I wear a 3x/4x in tops and a 5x/6x in bottoms. I'm a B cup so I have a lot of extra room in this robe and it makes it extremely comfortable and easy to wear. I'm surprised the chemise actually fit me because they usually don't. The cups are way too big for me but I usually wear lingerie with a push up bra anyway. The cups are definitely loose but it's comfortable enough. It's an ok chemise but I don't like that the back is so low on me. The robe is definitely the star of the show!
~Measurements~
~Robe~
Length from shoulder to bottom hem: 31"
Waist: 22" across
Hips: 25"+ (flares out a lot!)
Sleeve length: 14-16" (from the shoulder out it's slightly longer than the bottom part of the sleeve. The sleeves are 3/4 sleeves.)
Sleeve width: 11", very wide and comfortable.
Length of one of the ties from the middle of the back to the end: 41"
~Chemise~
Cups: 10" tall by 10" wide at the bottom, best fits larger cup sizes.
Underbust: 20"+ across (plus it has an open back so this can fit a variety of sizes.)
Waist: 24"+ across, it flares out a lot so it's hard to tell exactly.
Hips: 28"+, again it flares out a lot so it'll fit lots of sizes.
Length from center of the bust to bottom hem: 24"
Length from the low back to the bottom hem: 16"
~How To Clean~
It's highly recommend that you handwash this set in cold water with a few drops of lingerie wash and then hung it up to line dry. The chemise can get wrinkled easily and it's ok to throw it in the dryer for a few minutes on low heat to get those wrinkles out.
~Personal Thoughts~
The robe is soooo sexy and I love it! I don't care much for the chemise but the robe and the hanger are totally worth it to me. The robe can go with so many other lingerie pieces or you can just keep it simple and pair it with a sexy bra and panties underneath.

Follow-up commentary

I absolutely love this lace robe! The only thing that bothers me is that the lace feels so fragile like it could snag and get ruined easily. When I wear it I feel like I have to be really cautious! I love everything else about it though. The chemise got thrown in the depths of my closet because I don't care for it. In my opinion it's a good buy. I wish it came in more colors like blue and purple!

Fab review! I loved this robe and almost bought it a while back, but heard it was terribly cheap and falling apart upon arrival Thanks for the great photos! After seeing how great it looks in person and reading your review, I SO wanna give it a shot! It looks so comfortable and sexy at the same time! Perfect alternative to my huge t-shirt pajamas. Lol.

Thanks for the review. I love that robe. It's so lacey and feminine.

I have the same set. Did yours feel really itchy around the cup area? Around where the straps are?
-
The criss/cross straps begin at the very tops of the cups and cross over and end on the outer corner of the cups where they are sewn onto the chemise. There's like a tiny bit of excess strap that goes past the sewing. The tops feel ok to the touch but the other ends where the back straps end have a little bit more excess and feels a little pointy (because it's where they finally cut the straps off.) If you take a really sharp pair of scissors you can just trim the excess off as long as you don't cut where it's sewn and I think it'll be ok. I didn't even notice this when I was wearing it because it was really loose on me. I think it would be a good idea to trim it as close as possible though. As for the robe it's sooooo pretty but it's so fragile too! I really hope I don't accidently get a hole it in from wearing it and accidently tugging on it too hard or snagging it on something.
