What A Mess!
This product was an overall disappointment. Not the worst lubricant out there, but not something I would purchase again. It is condom-safe, and good for short-term use, but not recommended for the longer sessions.

Pros
Inexpensive, condom compatible.
Cons
Messy, not long-lasting.
The first lubricant I ever used was KY, as I am sure it was for many others. I recently switched over to ID Millennium, but when that ran out I grabbed some of this Astroglide. Astroglide is a water-based lubricant so it is safe for use with condoms and most sex toys. I’d heard of it many times before and assumed it would be just fine, but boy was I wrong.
Upon opening up the bottle I didn’t notice any sort of strange smell, and the texture of the product was alright, but boy did I have to use a lot of it! And even though it is water-based, it’s a pain in the rear (no pun intended) to get it out of the bottle because it leaves this stringy trail behind it. Definitely a three-handed job just to get it to dispense! After that hassle was over, when using it, it never seemed to be enough to really get me or my partner lubricated, requiring constant re-application. We found that if small amounts were applied it was simply absorbed by the body, and by the time we were done nearly half the bottle had been used. However, cleanup was a breeze and there was no strange film, residue or reaction to the product. Unfortunately we were left frustrated and exhausted from the hassle rather than the fun we should have been having.
It has been my experience that lubricants can bring a lot more sensation and pleasure to the bedroom, but Astroglide didn’t do this for me. I currently use and will continue to promote high-quality silicone lubricants. Although they are more expensive, you truly do only need a drop or two for long-lasting enjoyment. The money I saved on this lube was not worth the extensive time it took out of the bedroom.

Follow-up commentary
5 months after original review
I ended up throwing out the Astroglide after writing this review, and I will never go back! I'm sure that there is a possibility that I just got a 'bad batch' but there are so many better water-based lubes out there, in my opinion.

Thank you for viewing Astroglide – lubricant discontinued review page!
Thanks for the review!
Keeshia: It never occurred to me to try and warm it up first, maybe that would make it less sticky.
Nice review!
