Watermelon Candy? No Silly, It's For Sexy Time
Disguised as gel candy, this is a decent, effective oral lube. But ONLY for oral sex! If you're looking for something inexpensive to spice up your foreplay, I would suggest this. However, if you have allergies to glycerin, parabens, or just don't like long ingredient lists… then this lube is not for you!

What's This?
If you saw this bottle casually sitting on a night stand you'd probably think it was just another type of gel candy, but upon closer inspection you'd find it's truly ID Juicy (oral) Lube; mine's in the Luscious Watermelon flavor. It is a flavored water based lubricating gel, and mine is 1.9 fl oz., which will be more than enough to last us a month of blow jobs. It's ingredients include: Glycerin, Propylene glycol, Cellulose gum, Aspartame, Edta, Carbomer, Peg-90, Saccharin, Tetrahydroxypropyl ethylenediamine, Methylparaben, Sodium benzoate, and Potassium sorbate. This product has glycerin and parabens in it. You should use it with caution. Many people are sensitive/allergic to these ingredients, and they may cause yeast infections if used vaginally.
It came to me packaged in a tied-up, plastic bag to prevent it from leaking all over my other products. It also has a lid that snaps on and a "cork" type thing that further prevents leaking. In addition to storing it upright with the lid on, we also keep the cork in when not in use.
How & Why Do I Use It?
You use this lube for oral sex. I apply it to my partner's penis first, with a hand job. I then go on with the main event. Because this has sugars, glycerin, and parabens in it, we have not used it for oral on me, or for PIV sex. It’s not thick enough for anal. The flavor does dissipate after a few minutes, so you do have to reapply this quiet often. You would use this lube if you didn't like the taste of pre-cum, wanted to add a more slippery feeling to your oral sex, or if you just want to add a little fun. You dispense the lube through an airless pump. This type of pump "assures freshness from the first drop to the last," and is really easy to use, even with slippery hands.
Tell Me More About It...
ID Lube does not leave an oily, slimy, or otherwise greasy feeling; although where I didn't lick my husband clean, he was a bit sticky. You will want to wash the excess (if there is any) off after play. It's definitely more slippery than my water-based Astroglide lube, but not as thick as my Wet Synergy silicone hybrid lube. When there's just a little, like a drop, it stays in place well. The more you add, the heavier it gets, and the quicker it will slip out of place. If you do get this on your sheets or clothes it won't stain them. It leaves my mouth with a slight numb feeling and a little bit of a sweet after taste, but nothing to complain about. It does have a slight smell, but nowhere near over powering.
Even though I wouldn't suggest this for PIV or anal sex, you don't have to be limited to just oral sex with this product. Slide it on any erogenous zone and have your lover lick it off. It makes foreplay a LOT more interesting, fun, and tasty!

Experience
Mine was in Luscious Watermelon, and it tastes more like watermelon candy- flavored sugar than anything. It is VERY sweet! It definitely made oral sex more exciting and interesting for both me and my husband. It made me want to go longer, which he loved- of course! The lube didn't last very long and we did have to reapply. It was effective in masking the flavor of pre-cum, which is why I wanted it.
Follow-up commentary
24 months after original review
We have long since retired this. As a novice to the world of adult products I thought this was fantastic! But since gaining a little more experience I have found that this has a funky aftertaste and I enjoy higher quality lubes. I am now on the search for a great flavored lube as we are entering the fun journey of leaning to deep throat and I heard lube helps things move along better.
