Warm Lube for a Cold Night
This lube does exactly what it says it does -- warms on contact. This is a quality product to reach for on cold nights.
Published:
Pros
Warms almost immediately on contact. Remains silky, not sticky.
Cons
Strong peppermint smell, stops at very warm, but doesn't reach hot.
Face it. It's winter time, and unless you heat your bedroom like a sauna, anything liquid is going to wind up far chillier than body temperature.
Few things can ruin a steamy mood more than the sudden chill of cold lube on hottest parts. Enter System JO Silicone Warming Lubricant.
The lube's transparent label even boasts in all caps: "Meet Your New Best Friend."
The lube doesn't stay warm on it's own in the bottle, but it warms almost immediately on contact. Additional friction raises the heat, and it eventually will reach a nice, downright balmy temperature on your skin. Blowing has no effect, and actually tended to cool rather than warm.
Adding to the wintertime festiveness of the product, the lube bears the distinct scent of candy cane, which is due to the presences of Mentha piperita aka peppermint.
The description on the website says it is unscented, and while the peppermint may be an active ingredient, it's far from odor free.
The candy cane smell of this lube is definitely not subtle, so be warned. If you have an aversion to Christmas or simply dislike the aroma of peppermint, then you would be wise to avoid this lube altogether.
While the lube's warming properties added to the comfort factor, I was a little disappointed that no amount of rubbing, blowing it stopped at very warm and didn't make it into hot category.
I had some hopes that the lube might be somewhat useful for mild CBT and other genital temperature play. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Of course, I can't blame a product for not doing what it's not supposed to do.
As a lube, System JO Silicone Warming Lube is a quality product. It goes on smoothly and begins working immediately. The lubrication remains silky and effective for a long time without any stickiness.
The lube worked well on every body part I tested it on, and because it is silicone-based, it can be used with most toys, condoms, etc.
Overall, I would strongly recommend System JO Silicone Warming Lube, especially when the temperature is cold outside.

The product is gone. A small bottle of lube will only last you so long. But, I would definitely buy this one again.
