Vegan and skin friendly lube not so pleasure friendly
Great for animal-friendly products, made by women, high quality lube. Verrrry natural feeling and great with toys and latex. However, goes away quickly and needs to be reapplied often. Not great if you need continual lubrication.

Pros
Very natural feeling, vegan friendly, made by women, hypoallergenic and very skin-friendly
Cons
Short-lasting, need to reapply often
Sliquid's Silk intimate hybrid lubricant has vegan ingredients, hypoallergenic, and made by women. I was super psyched to try out this seemingly great lubricant.
First off, it's latex and rubber friendly, which I always look for first in a lube. You don't want a lubricant that you can't use with your toys, and more importantly, that you cannot use with protection. The hybrid lube is a combination of water based with a silicone blend. It's great for very sensitive parts - glycerin free, paraben free, hypoallergenic, and a unique blend that I hadn't seen before in lubes. The Sliquid brand has a "Sliquid Promise" on each and every one of their bottles promising all their products are free of "DEA, gluten, glycerine, glycerol, parabens, PEG, propylene glycol, sorbitol, and sulphates" ... basically a lot of chemicals, sugars, or that can irritate your parts or cause yeast infections (sorbitol is a sweetener, which flavored lubes often have, which can cause problems down under).
Secondly, I love products that are vegan and animal friendly. The top ingredients are water and plant cellulose. These are supposed to be a unique blend that "enhance your body's natural lubrication".
The sliquid logo has the female symbol as the center of the lotus flower logo and is "created by sensitive women, for sensible women" which I think is a great tagline and really attracted me to their products.
The bottle is purple and pretty, with a snap top so it will not spill. The word lubricant is smaller, with "sliquid" and "silk" being most prominent.
Now, as for the product itself: the lube is white but goes on clear. It has a very, very subtle feel that does feel just like natural lubrication, albeit very minimal lubrication. It says to reactivate, simply add water or reapply. And what, pray tell, is the point of lube if you have to keep adding more saliva? We'd do that in the first place if we didn't want to buy lube. Whenever I use this, it's *great* for first entry or play, but needs to be reapplied quite often. It doesn't have that long-lasting effect of other lubes, and I found my natural lubrication provided more than this lube did. The point of most lubes should be to provide MORE than natural lubrication. If you want a lube that is simply for beginning penetration, you don't like the greasy, slimy feel of lubricants, or you don't need much lubrication, this is a good buy. Otherwise, shop elsewhere. I really love the natural feel of the lube, so I plan on trying another Sliquid lube that lasts a litttle longer.

Still my favorite lube! Feels like a natural lubricant, not too sticky, not too oily. No unpleasant smell. Lasts forever! Cruelty free and good for sensitive skin.

It's a shame this didn't last longer on you or it sounds like it would be the perfect lube! I hope you do try the other Sliquid products to find a better match.
