V is for...?
V silicone lubricant is a very silky, smooth, and long lasting lube. It's hypoallergenic and does not contain any parabens or glycerin. It's waterproof, too, making it great for sex in the shower. Included with my bottle was a booklet that discussed the company as well as the product very well. I felt like I really knew what this product is before I even looked at the bottle.

slick and safe on skin, waterproof, comes with an informational booklet
Cons
bottle can be difficult to keep a grip on
While, yes, I probably have enough bottles of lubricant lying around, I can never get enough of silicone lube. I prefer the smooth feel of silicone lube to the sticky or tacky feel of water based lubes. So when I received and assignment for V silicone lubricant, I jumped on it.
The 4 ounce bottle came packed in a plastic Ziploc-type of bag with a large instructional manual. The manual is not very long, with about 10 pages in it. It describes the company and the product pretty well. It discusses how the V team works with people from several industries, including cosmetics, skin care, fashion, doctors, gynecologists, and dermatologists to produce the best possible product for consumers. The booklet states all of the simple, natural ingredients in their products are FDA and USDA approved, as well as being hypoallergenic and paraben and glycerin free. It also states that V products are packaged in easy to recycle bottles. The end of the booklet lists some of the other products from V, including water based warming and cooling lubes. Overall, the booklet gives a pretty good overview of the product before you even open it. It made me feel quite a bit more comfortable about trying a new product, especially since my skin is starting to be sensitive to quite a few products.
Anyway, on to the actual lube. The bottle is just a little over 5 inches tall and 5 inches around. It’s made of clear plastic and has plastic flip-top lid. The bottle is smooth plastic, so once it gets some lube on it, it is pretty slippery. The lid is easy to open regardless of how much lube is on the bottle or your hands. The design on the bottle is pretty simple, a gray band with the brand logo “V” in it, and silicone lubricant underneath that in smaller letters. The back lists basic features of the lube, including hypoallergenic, long lasting, waterproof, and silky feeling. This information is listed in both English and I think French. Cautions listed for this product include that this is not a spermicidal lube and to not use it on tile floors or other slippery surfaces.
The ingredients listed for this product are very simple: cyclopenasiloxane, dimethicone, and dimethiconol. All three of these ingredients are a form of silicone and work as a lubricant. They are also ingredients in some other OTC products, like anti-frizz serum for hair, facial moisturizers, shampoos, mascara, and sunscreen. As I stated before, this product is hypoallergenic and does not include any parabens or glycerin. This lube did not irritate my skin in any way.
V silicone lube is pretty thin and slick. Simply flipping the top open and flipping the bottle over upside-down allows some lube to flow out easily. This lube rubs in very easily and leaves skin nice and slick. It doesn’t feel oily to me, just very smooth. It makes my skin feel very soft. It’s great for use on my partner’s hands, as he has very dry, calloused hands that can kind of hurt my skin a little. As this stuff absorbs into skin, it doesn’t dry out. Even a couple of hours after applying this, I can still feel a little bit of it on my skin. It’s waterproof, so getting it wet does not rinse it away. This product is excellent for sex in the shower. Scrubbing skin with some soap and water does remove most of this. I use an exfoliating mesh sponge in the shower, and after I am done in there, I don’t feel any of this left over on my skin. I noticed absolutely no scent or flavor to this lube.
We also use this lube for vaginal intercourse. A little bit of this really goes a long way. We use maybe a dime-sized amount between the two of us. Silicone lube eliminates much of the friction during sex, so you may need to be a little careful, especially with harder thrusting.
I do not recommend this lube for anal play, due to the slickness and how thin this lube is. For this purpose, you would want a thicker water-based lube. I also do not recommend this for use with silicone toys, as the two products could meld together and mess the toy up. It should be safe for use with any other toy, though you may want to do a small spot test first to be sure.

Experience
As I stated before, this lube comes off with a little work. Just rinsing it off and gently rubbing a little soap on it will get some of it off, but not all. A shower with a mesh sponge or a washcloth should get most of it. The bottle warns against stains on fabrics, but I have yet to notice any. I’ve spilled some of this on my bed sheets and a run through the washer got all of the lube out. Other fabrics, you may want to read the label on it before you wash it. Spot cleaning with some dish soap on a wet rag would work.
To store this bottle, your best bet would be leaving it upright. While, yes, the bottle seals against leaks, you may want to keep it upright just in case. I recommend putting this in a Ziploc bag before packing it away for travel. The bottle is pretty discreet looking to me. I think it would blend in just fine with a bathroom cabinet full of shampoos, conditioners, and lotions. It’s a very plain bottle that most likely would only get a second glance if it was sitting next to the bed.
Compared to other silicone lubes, I definitely prefer this one. Bodyfluid places second against this, since this is a little more slick and natural feeling. I recommend this lube for those looking to give silicone based lubes a try.

Follow-up commentary
6 months after original review
This has been our go-to lube lately, mainly due to the size of the bottle. Our usual silicone lube does not fit well in our bedside storage and this one does. I've really noticed no difference in feel between the two. I love the slick feeling of silicone lube.
