This ocean dries up too quickly
This vegan and gluten free lube is great while it lasts, it just doesn't last. It will assist your own natural lubrication, but will not stand up on its own. This makes it pretty good for couple or vaginal play. Unless you are having a dry day. If you need long lasting lube, there are better options, even from Sliquid.

Pros
Vegan, Gluten free, natural, non irritating, leaves no residue.
Cons
Dries much too quickly,
After trying the Sliquid Sassy booty lube, I was eager to look at their other products. The first time I tried Sliquid Sea was with a partner. I was having a dry day, but wanted intercourse. The lube went on nicely, and felt good, then disappeared. This is both good and bad. It went smoothly into the skin without leaving a sticky residue. It was as if we had not used any lube at all, and instead had rubbed in nice lotion. For some contexts this is really nice.
If you are trying to get your own juices flowing a bit more, this could be a great tool, but if you are looking for a long lasting lube, it doesn't go the distance. We kept reapplying, and eventually grabbed a different lube. That was a particularly dry day for me. Other times this lube has worked just fine with toys.
It is a fairly thin lube, with very little taste. Just a hint of sweetness, but really almost flavorless. It was helpful when giving a blow job, and while I don't mind the texture of my go-to lube in my mouth, I know there are people who would want a thin lube for giving a blow job.
This lube would definitely be too thin for anal play, so I didn't even attempt it.
It is called "sea" because it contains seaweed extracts (carrageenan, nori and Wakame) which I thought would make it a bit thicker than it is. It is free from DEA, Gluten, glycerine, glycerol, parabens, PEG, Propylene, glycol, sorbitol and sulphates. The bottle even comes with a reminder to recycle the packaging. The has a click top similar to a shampoo bottle which has been very easy to use.
Like I said in my other review of a sliquid product, it is great that a company is guaranteeing gluten free and vegan. Many lubes have vegan ingredients, but it is unclear if things are tested on animals. Also I know people who have serious allergic reactions to gluten, so it is great that a company makes something that actively avoids cross contamination. It says it right on the bottle, so you don't have to research each ingredient.
It's not a bad lube, and I love the values of sliquid, but it is not mind blowing and tends to dry out. Since the booty lube lasts so much longer, and I occasionally need it for my booty, I will probably just stick to that and use it as an all purpose lube in general. However, If I know I'm not going to be able to shower for some reason, the fact that this lube disappears with no residue, could come in handy.

Experience
As I've been writing this review I've been rubbing it on my fingers to remind myself of the feel. It really leaves NO residue and my skin likes to absorb it. There is a faint sweet smell, that is quite nice. I think it is hilarious. Often you hear of men using hand lotion as lube, but I could totally use this lube as hand lotion. I just wish it stuck around longer.
Follow-up commentary
12 months after original review
I will occasionally grab this lube for vaginal toys, but mostly so that I'm not wasting it. As before, It isn't horrible, but I have other lubes I use regularly and prefer.
