The viscosity is not as thick as K-Y or Maximus, but thicker than old school Astroglide. It's pretty close to original Wet. Or do I have those backwards? Hard to say, as all of those are in the camp of stinky glycerin based lubes that caused my wife to run for cool water nearly on contact. It is definitely thicker than Sliquid's Ride H2O, which didn't survive the big-toy hard anal play. Sliquid Sassy Booty Formula has a very slight spring to it, but it doesn't pile up or form massive strings like a few other lubes. A long pour will spread out into a thick pool on a flat surface. Thick drops or blobs will run off a vertical surface, smaller ones will stay put. It is thinner when warmed and is still effective after being partially boiled in the microwave. Accidentally. It has a smooth, slightly velvety texture with no oiliness or chunkiness, though orally it stands apart a few moments without wetting, then blends and seems to expand, foams slightly then on moving my tongue the foam collapses to a discernable thick coat. I think it's the non-wetting sensation that is odd orally. Most foods with that texture wet immediately (custards) or melt to coat, then emulsify (butter) and this is just different. Maybe the cellulose isn't broken down by saliva easily and so feels discrete. Definitely better and tastier than any silicone I've used if oral is involved.

What aroma? With the lid off and my nose right at the opening of the bottle, I could smell a very slight plastic smell. From a foot away, NOTHING. This is very useful for those times I've bailed on a trip into town to get some "home maintenance" done. At times my wife has returned and said "I smell lube. I notice the backyard isn't mown. Did you get the molding installed in the dining room?" What a nice change Sassy is from all the stinky glycerin based lubes.

As far as taste, what there is of it is very mild. I can't taste a drop of it at all after brushing my teeth beforehand. A slight taste like elmers glue or plastic through yesterdays curry lunch, less through the marinara sauce today. Acidic flavors may cover it more. By slight, I mean *slight*. I cook a lot and am used to searching through mixed flavors for one note or nuance.

It tends to mix with saliva and foam slightly, possibly with body fluids in general. I still feel a slight coating on my tongue after a drink, but can scrape through it with my teeth. Hm, the coating was more pleasant.

I bought the Sassy formula after Sliquid's Wet H2O formula didn't hold up to heavy anal play with a pretty huge dildo, namely Hung.
It felt ok at the time, but riding Hung with Ride H20 left me very sore the next day and a few days after that.

Research on EF led me to settle on Sliquid's Sassy Booty Formula. What a difference. I wasn't sore till the third day later of playing with Hung.

Fairly thick applications are most effective for massive toys. The ones normal people use, say under 2 or 2-1/4" diameter, should require just a reasonable amount. As this is an, shall we say an unenhanced (or decontaminated?) water based lube, more than a very thin film will be needed. To put it another way, pick up a cd case. A layer as thick as one of those zippy ridges on a narrow side will be more than enough for normal use. (Run your fingernail over the ridges to make the zippy noise.) For a big toy, look at the thickness of an edge of the lid. That's somewhere between a little too much or a good start depending on the toy. By the way, that's in addition to shooting a couple CC's inside.

Reapplication is needed, but not excessively distracting. I notice that drafts from AC and fast ceiling fans have a definite effect on water based lubes. Also, please note this was a LARGE toy (2-3/4 dia.)needing more lube and having a large surface area to evaporate moisture from. For my very smooth 2-1/4 dia toy and my Adam's Pleasureskin, both Ride H20 and definitely Sassy were far more than adequate.

I'd sometimes quickly dip the head of the toy in a cup of hot water and add a drop or three of lube at the tip. Hot water alone results in a coat actually slicker than the original lube, but thinner, so this was a good mix. Usually for smaller toys I'd just flick several drops on the head and maybe around my asshole and continue to ride. Somewhere between eight and fifteen minutes, depending on toys and drafts and prelubedness.

The foaming effect during use that several others have mentioned was noticed, but it didn't seem to make a huge difference to me. I have IBS, so my colon releases a lot of mucous at times, maybe that helped, maybe the lube lasts well internally/anally. Hooray for snotty asses? Or just ass snot?

In small amounts the lube is simply absorbed into the skin and after some time re-wetting has no effect, whether because the ingredients are absorbed or because the imperceptible dried remains are quickly sloughed, I don't know. In large amounts and on hair it can get kinda crusty, but it's soft and doesn't force a stop. It's nothing like the nearly instantaneous sharp little Snot-Balls-From-Hell that K-Y turns into. By large amounts I mean 1/8 to 1/4 of the bottle. Hey I was having fun - for two or three hours. A quick wipe with a washcloth wet in warm water and it slicks back up - and that quantity does last a while. Another wipe or two takes it all off, especially if any amount of soap is involved. A major spill or dropped fully globbed toy may result when dry in a faint pearly outline that brushes off or blurs and anyway washes out.

This is in a short bottle with rounded corners, a bright pink label and a rocker lid.
The 4.2 oz. bottle is a nice grabbable size that doesn't tip easily on a nightstand or headboard and possibly remains upright in a bed. A squattier shape would be more stable but hard to squeeze, a taller one has no chance of remaining upright in action. This has some slight effect due to Sliquid's choice of rocker tops. Yes, it is adequate for one-handed application. Still, the only thing I like less than rocker tops are flip tops which come open and leak all over the bed, toy drawer, into your slippers, etc. Rocker tops are better, but still prone to seepage. This is especially true if say, a textbook or two ended up on the bottle or an overloaded drawer was forced shut with the bottle inside. Seepage was minimal with this product, but I'm still suspicious of the closure. I'd probably put a layer or two of plastic wrap over the mouth and threads of the bottle, then screw the lid on tightly and keep it all in a ziplock for travel. I'm not sure Homeland Security would allow it in even checked baggage for air travel.

It has a slight moisturizing effect.

I'm going to comment and admit that I am biased away from silicone lubes. My rationale is a cheap toy may have a high phthalate content, but you take it out at some point. Pieces dont tend to fall off. (And I'm moving away from phthalates anyway.) On the other hand any lube you use, the entire internal amount of lube is available for absorption and in the case of anal, is coating tissues designed for absorption and migrating to tissues even more so. If you use large toys this can be several CC's. You don't get to take out a significant portion of that lube and a portion of that bit is absorbed directly into your bloodstream. Chemically inert may not mean non-catalytic or that an inflammatory response isn't present. SO - I'll take a pass on chemically complex lubes.
