Tasty Twist is an edible cream by Jelique, which is a company that carries a wide variety of edible sexual products. I have or have tried all the Jelique products and am very fond of them, Tasty Twist especially.
Tasty Twist is a cream used basically for making your lovie's genitals (or other body parts) taste like mint chocolate chip, buttercream icing, orange dreamsicle or bubblegum. That's a lot of flavors to choose from! Unfortunately, I don't think Eden carries all the flavors of this cream, but they definitely carry the orange dreamsicle and the mint chocolate chip, and those happen to be the two best tasting ones from the line, in my opinion.
Tasty Twist is best suited for couples so unless you enjoy licking edible cream off your own self, I don't think there's many other uses for it.
Apply Tasty Twist anywhere on your partner's body for a tasty treat when you lick. Or even better, surprise your partner with a mint chocolate chip flavored crotch!
Tasty Twist only alters the sensations I feel slightly when applied to my own genitals, but isn't really what you'd use as a cooling/warming lubricant, so its best use is for teasing your partner with little licks and nibbles.
Tasty Twist (and all Jelique products) is made in the USA & are cruelty-free!
Ingredients
Purified Water, Mineral Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Isopropyl Myristate, Menthol, Aloe Vera Gel, Carbomer, Triethanolamine, N&A Flavors, Saccharin, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben.
*Note: While it is L-Arginine free, Jelique made up for that by tossing in loads of parabens and other harmful ingredients!
This does contain the dreadful parabens. It also contains mineral oil and many other less than wonderful ingredients, so do use with caution. This has a lot of icky ingredients, so if you're sensitive, you might consider skipping this product all together.
Closer Look At Each Ingredient
Mineral Oil: Product of distilled petroleum. Used as emollient, skin conditioning agent and solvent. Many people avoid using mineral oil due to the possibility that may be contaminated with cancer-causing polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. It's also been said that the use of mineral oil can further irritate skin problems and even cause skin to prematurely age. Mineral oil doesn't allow skin to breathe, and using mineral oil on the skin regularly can cause hormonal effects such as endometriosis (which I already have, ovarian dysfunction and even miscarriage.
Cetyl Alcohol: Also known as Palmityl Alcohol. Cetyl Alcohol is a derived from fats or oils. Commonly used in hair products to provide smoother, softer hair. Often used to thicken a product (think shapoo or conditioner). Also used in water based lubricants sometimes. Cetyl Alcohol does the same for skin--used as an emollient, makes it smoother and softer.
Glyceryl Stearate: Made by a reaction from combining glycerin and stearic acid. Acts as lubrication on skin's surface. Forms a barrier on skin to slow moisture loss. Softens skin and leaves smooth appearance. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products.
Sodium Lauryl Sulfate: A surfactant and cleaning agent. Works to clean hair and skin by sort of binding together water, oil and dirty and rinsing them away with the help of water. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products. However, the actual safety of this ingredient is somewhat a mystery. The Journal of the American College of Toxicology reported finding that it's able to penetrate the skin and carcinogenic nitrosamines can form in this ingredient. It also "enters and maintains residual levels in the heart, liver and lungs just from skin contact." It may cause skin layers to separate and become inflamed due to protein-denaturing properties.
Isopropyl Myristate: Derived from isopropyl alcohol and myristic acid. A binder, skin conditioning agent and emollient. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products.
Menthol: An alcohol that can be derived from either peppermint or other mint oils or prepared synthetically, as I suspect it has been for use in Tasty Twist. Used for its anesthetic properties, a flavoring agent, denaturant, and fragrance ingredient.
Aloe Vera Gel: Hundreds of uses. Most likely it's used in lubricants and personal care products for its anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, healing, soothing and moisturizing properties. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products.
Carbomer: Made from acrylic acid. Helps to suspend and distribute an insoluble solid in a liquid. Prevents separation of emulsions, controls consistency and flow. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products.
Triethanolamine: Helps to form emulsions so that oil and and water soluble ingredients can blend together, and to control the pH levels in personal care products. This ingredient has been evaluated by CIR Expert Panel and deemed safe for use in cosmetics and personal care products. However, it's also shown to be a skin, immune, respiratory toxicant.
N&A Flavors: Unknown! They're flavors, but the rest is a mystery.
Saccharin: Artificial sweetener.
Phenoxyethanol: Can be found naturally in green tea, but the most commonly used type is a synthetic. Used in cosmetics and personal care products. Only slightly, but Phenoxyethanol is a viscous liquid with a rose scent to it. It functions to prevent microbial growth, protecting these products from ruining.
Methylparaven,Butylparaben, Ethylparaben & Propylparaben: These are all parabens and all are very harmful! Enough said.
