Sticky in Pink
Pink Water is a discreet water-based lubricant. It starts out somewhat sticky, however, when it dries it feels very smooth. The price tag is very nice, though it may not be nice enough to make up for the bitter taste.

Pros
price, dries smoothly, contains aloe vera
Cons
sticky after applied, contains parabens, gross taste
My decision to try Pink Water was based mostly off of the almost empty bottle of lube that I had. I was interested in trying a new lube, so I picked one randomly off my wish list.
First off, I’d like to comment on the product size. I ordered the 3.25 oz. bottle, which states on the packaging that it is actually 3.33 ounces, or 100 milliliters. For $8.99, this is a pretty good amount of lube. The bottle has a pump top with a cap that goes over the pump top. I really like that they added this. My last bottle of lube that had a pump top ended up leaking all over the place when it accidentally got knocked over. I was able to turn this bottle over and shake it with nothing coming out.
Pink Water’s packaging states it is a lubricant for women, though I think it would be usable by both men and women. The bottle is pretty discreet looking; in fact, I might just leave this sitting on my dresser so I don’t have to dig for it when it comes time for lube. It looks more like a bottle of foaming facial wash or toner or something than a bottle of lube.
Ingredients:
Water, Propylene Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Methylparaben, Diazolidinyl Urea, Propylparaben, Sodium Benzoate, Tetrasodium, EDTA, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Paullinia Cupana (Guarana) Seed Extract, Avena Sativa (Oat) Extract, Polysorbate-20, PEG-45M, Polyquarternium-5, Aspartame.
Pink Water does not contain glycerin, though it does contain parabens. It contains aloe, as well, as a moisturizer, though I did not notice it moisturizing my skin where I applied it. I also did not notice any irritations to my skin as a result of using the lube. Other ingredients, including ginseng, guarana, and avena sativa, help to increase the mood and act as aphrodisiacs. Since the lube is marketed towards women, women may feel more of these effects than men. I personally did not really feel aroused or more awake using this.
The consistency of Pink Water is nice and thick. After I applied some, it felt really sticky in my hand. After maybe 5 minutes or so, the lube dried out and I had to apply a bit more. After two applications, I just used spit to give the lube a bit more moisture. The sticky feeling of Pink Water closely resembles KY water-based lubricant, both to me and my boyfriend. When it dries out completely, it feels like it has been fully absorbed, with only a small amount of slickness on the skin, whereas I feel KY dries up pretty sticky and needs to be washed off. We felt like it gave us a good amount of friction, something we do not get with our normal lube, which is silicone-based. We both felt that the lube was decent for intercourse and a handjob, though we did not test it anally.
Pink Water does have a slight smell to it. It is a very faint chemical smell. It was not noticeable when we used it together, however, when I put some on my finger and held it up to my nose, I could smell it. It does, though, have a gross taste. When I was giving him a handjob and the lube dried up, I just licked my hand and kept going. The taste is pretty bitter and seems to be some kind of chemical. I am not sure if it is the aspartame that is included on the ingredient list. The taste was definitely a turn off for me.
Overall, I’d say Pink Water is worth a try. It seems to feel a bit more comfortable than other water-based lubricants I have tried. The price is definitely pretty good. The only downside is the taste, really.

Experience
Since I found the lube to taste a bit gross, I decided to try to mask the flavor of it, in case I accidentally got some in my mouth. I applied some menthol cinnamon lip gloss I bought at Bath & Body Works to my lips, which did mask the flavor quite a bit. My boyfriend also liked how the lip gloss made his lips feel all tingly.

This isn't exactly my favorite go-to lube, and I doubt it ever will be. I prefer to use silicone-based, which isn't sticky and lasts longer. However, this stuff has worked great when I have needed a water-based lube, which is pretty much whenever some toys that are not silicone-based lube compatible are used.

Thank you for viewing Pink Water – lubricant discontinued review page!
I just reviewed a lube similar to this one, not quite as bitter, but still not neutral tasting, but with almost the same ingredients, the Lelo Personal Moisturizer. It wasn't quite as sticky at first as this one, but I felt it had a weird taste and medicinal smell.
