Smooth As Silk

This lube is a good choice to keep things running smoothly, if you don't like the feel of thick lubes, if you want something that's natural, and if you're trying to economize. The only problem is that it tends to end up where you don't want it, so be prepared for some clean up.

Use

Probe Silky Light is a natural, water-based lubricant. It's best used for anal sex, as an oral sex aid, and with sex toys. Since it's water-based, it's compatible with any and all sex toy materials. While the product says that it's safe for vaginal use, that won't be true for everyone because it all depends on how sensitive you are to glycerin. Glycerin is a sugar derivative that, coupled with a warm vagina, could activate a yeast infection. I haven't had any problems yet, even though I have been using Probe Silky Light vaginally.

Drip Test

I find it easiest to describe Probe Silky Light by comparing it to Davryan's other lube, Probe Thick and Rich. As you can see, the Thick and Rich is so thick that it doesn't want to go anywhere, even when tilted, while the Silky Light is "making a run for it." It's way thinner, and this is noticeable in use; it tends to drip off of everything. The Davryan website says that it's supposed to mimic the consistency of saliva, and that's about right, except that it has a kind of stringy gooiness to it, like its sibling Thick and Rich. So basically Silky Light is significantly messier, but if you don't like the feeling of thick lube, this is a good choice.

Taste / Aroma

Just like Thick and Rich, Silky Light hardly has any flavor; just a bit of bitterness, most likely from the grapefruit seed extract. As for smell, to me, it doesn't smell like anything.

Performance

Since this lube is so thin (and therefore messy), its use is kind of limited. I've found that it's not a great choice for popping in a butt plug to wear around. For me, it's best for using a toy anally, so I think it would also be good for anal sex, but again, only if you prefer a thinner lube and don't mind a bit of clean up.

Packaging

17 vs 8.5 oz.

Above is a photo of my 8.5-ounce bottle of Silky Light, compared to my 17-ounce bottle of Thick and Rich. As a side note, the labels are pretty easy to remove if you have privacy concerns but want to leave the bottle out for convenience, since the giant "Probe" on the label doesn't make it very discreet.

Ingredients: Purified Water, Vegetable Glycerin, Polyethylene Oxide, and Grapefruit Seed Extract. There's some more interesting information on the ingredients on the product's website.
