This product is good for anyone looking for a good quality source of vaginal or anal lubrication. It is good for any body part, sex toy, or surface that you could possibly want to lubricate. It stays slick for a good amount of time, but dries rather suddenly when it does dry out.

It is compatible with all toys and condoms because it is water-based. However, some toy surfaces are easier to wash off than others, so keep this in mind and consider using a condom with difficult to clean surfaces. This product is petroleum-free, but does contain glycerin, methylparaben, and aspartame. So if you are sensitive to any of these substances, I recommend picking a different lubricant.

Additionally, this lubricant is water-based and will wash off quickly with water. Therefore, it is not the ideal lubricant for use in the shower or bath.

Astroglide is a bit runnier than perhaps it should be, especially when it gets warm. This however, does not hinder its usability. It is very slippery and comes out of the bottle easily. If you coat a surface with it, a decent amount will stay where you put it but excess may slide down the surface. It is not sticky or greasy, even when it starts to dry. It simply loses its slickness as it dries.

There is no real smell to Astroglide aside from a slight hint of plastic and bitterness. This is better than many lubricants with strongly negative scents. However, the taste is very bitter and almost plastic-like in nature. I do not recommend tasting this product. If one intends on tasting their lubricant, I recommend one of a flavored variety instead.

Astroglide lasts for a decent amount of time before starting to dry out; probably between half an hour and an hour. However, it does dry out rather suddenly. So it might be wise to have more on hand to re-apply when necessary.

Astroglide will absorb into skin, but also cleans up and washes away very easily with simple soap and water. There is no noticeable residue left behind after washing off this product. However, the slight plastic-like smell may remain on very porous surfaces such as skin for a short time.

This is a very wonderful product overall. It is slick, compatible with all toy materials, does its job nicely, and does not cause any burning sensations to sensitive body parts as some other lubricants can. The only disadvantages are the taste and that it dries out suddenly.

Astroglide comes in a neat purple box; labeling it as a 'personal lubricant and moisturizer'. This is not very discreet packaging and I do not recommend it for travel. Within the box, is a curved bottle with an easy-open pop-top cap. This bottle also identifies the product as a 'personal lubricant and moisturizer'. It is worth noting that I have had some problems with bottles leaking if they are on their sides for too long.
