Astroglide glycerin and paraben free formula is a great water based lubricant for those who have allergies/reactions to glycerin or parabens in other lubricants (or for those who, like me, just don't want to find this out the hard way). It works really well during masturbation (with or without toys) as well as vaginal intercourse. The main downside is that I do not think it will be thick enough for anal intercourse, though I did not put it to the test.

In my opinion this lubricant felt pretty natural. Before I used it I rubbed a small drop between my fingers and I liked the consistency a lot more than some other lubricants that are more gel-like. It was not sticky when I did this or when it was in use. It is very slippery and can be runny, but at the same time I was able to pour a few drops on a toy and not have them drip down right away (when holding it straight).

I never noticed a smell in use, but when I sniffed the open bottle it smells faintly of nail polish remover or some other nail product I have smelled in the past (maybe even a combination of some of them). It has a pretty bitter taste, not really similar to anything I have ever tasted. The taste is not bad if it is a small amount, but once it gets to be more the a few drops, the taste is more bitter.

The bottle that this lubricant comes in makes it easy to dispense a small amount at a time, which is nice because I find myself not needing a lot because it lasts for a good amount of time. In my opinion, this is such a thin lube that it feels like the real thing and is not cold when applied (which I have experienced in the past). The fact that it feels so natural is my favorite thing about this lube. I have used it mostly with silicone toys, since they can't be used with silicone lubes, and do not have a problem with things getting sticky after a while which is great!

After sex/play I usually take a shower, and this washes off very easily. However, there have been a few times when I did not shower right away and felt like there was no need to wash it off because it is not too messy and will dry by itself.

This product comes packaged in an easily opened thin card board box. The box is not discreet as it has an open front that shows the product and also has a little bit of information and directions on the back.

In regards to the bottle, the top is a flip top that is easily opened. I usually can use just one hand with this one. The small opening in the bottle keeps it from dispensing too much lube at a time, so there is a decreased chance of mess. I have not had any problems with this bottle leaking (as long as the top is on), however I usually keep in a drawer, so it doesn't get moved around a lot.

The only special feature of this lube is that it is paraben and glycerin free so it is great for those with allergies. Here are the other ingredients: Purified water, Butylene glycol, Xylitol, Propylene glycol, Polyquaternium 15.

The formula of Astroglide lubricant has worked very well for me. I have found in the past with other lubes that I feel like I am adding something unnatural to my body and it just doesn't feel real enough. However with this the addition of lube feels more natural and I actually enjoy adding this to my play time.
