Astroglide is not the most impressive lube my partner and I have ever used, but it does what it needs to, only not that well. It is water-based though, so we use it for many purposes, including toys, anal, penetration, and other methods of foreplay. Too bad it is a messy nightmare.

It is safe for all types of toys, but does not hold up well in the shower. When washing away, just use soap and warm water. However, I would not recommend using this as an aide in oral sex because it is not edible, and the taste is not great if you do accidentally get some in your mouth. A lot of people beg to differ with the smell of this lubricant, but I really feel like there is a slight smell and an even worse smell when mixed with bodily fluids. Bodily fluids, okay. Astroglide Lube, okay. Mixed together, terrible. I don't know what it is, I suppose natural pheromones or something. I can't really explain it, but I hate the smell.

After prolonged usage, the lubricant that starts out smooth ends up sticky. When it is smooth, it is perfect but during anal sex, re-application is necessary. Usually this will hold up with little to no use or re-application during penetration or foreplay, but like I said before, for anything that lasts longer than an hour or two, look for another lube because this one will start to stick. For this reason and the smell we are working hard to find something better.

Overall, I like this lube and have gotten a lot of use out of it since my purchase months ago. We are still working with a little under half a bottle and use it often. It doesn't take much at all to get the job done. It is ideal for someone on a budget.

Like I said before, there are issues with smell and stickiness but overall, for the price, I would not expect much more than I got from this lubricant. Quality is, of course, not always found when purchasing low cost items.

We have since thrown this lubricant out and moved onto a different brand. We got tired of using it and dealing with the mess it made.
