This lube is best as an anal lubricant. It worked for us, both during good ol'fashion anal and for use with a strap-on. It feels very natural. It doesn't burn for me the way other lubricants can, and I have terribly sensitive skin everywhere. The packaging lists it to be condom safe.

As for product precautions, I'd advise VERY STRONGLY against any vaginal use, especially if you are prone to UTIs or vaginal infections. The reason I say this is because this product contains vegetable glycerin, which can hold bacteria. It doesn't burn, but a few hours after using it for clitoral play I experienced some urinary discomfort (something I'm very prone to), so if that is an issue for you, I'd avoid using Probe for that. As far as using it vaginally, this lube is very thick and very persistent, so aside from the infection worries, it just isn't very attractive for such use.

The texture was smooth. I'd say that it feels like a woman's natural lubrication only thicker. As odd as it may sound, if your butt lubricated itself I suspected this is what it would feel like. It stays in place very well, and you only need a bit saliva or water in order to reactivate it.

A word to the wise: when closing the bottle, make sure there isn't excess on the outside or the bottle itself will become really slippery.

This lube has no smell or taste. I can strongly attest to this because for the purpose of this review, I sniffed it and got lube up my nose. I can say that even up my nose, it didn't burn or irritate. It just felt very odd.

This lube lasts well and can easily be reactivated with water or saliva. It absorbs nicely (leaves your skin feeling soft) as long you don't leave gobs and gobs of it on your skin. The only time I felt like I needed to wash it off was during our failed experiment with vaginal use, and even then it rinsed off well.

My absolute favorite part about this product is how gentle it is. I got a bit of the lube on an eczema irritated part of my wrist, and it didn't burn. It was actually more gentle than some of the stuff I buy specifically for that issue and left it softer. This formula is brilliant for those with sensitive skin.

This isn't a pretty product. It arrived with the bottle wrapped in a plastic bag, and the bottle itself is rather medicinal looking. The bottle is matte white with a peachy-pink label and looks like the text could have been made in Microsoft word. The bottle is recyclable and can be opened with one hand, but I'd use two to avoid getting lube all over the bottle. It wouldn't make a very good gift since it is so plain looking.

The directions for use consisted of: "Apply a small amount to the area to be lubricated. Add a few drops of water to reactivate lubricity."

I wouldn't consider the packaging discreet since it read "Probe personal lubricant" across the top of the bottle. It is pretty obvious what this is from looking at it. It couldn't pass as lotion. As far as traveling, we've never had a leak or spill, but I'd switch the lube to a different bottle or put it in a plastic bag because I would distrust a big bottle of lube in with all my clothing. It seems like a mess waiting to happen.
