The Sliquid sassy booty formula is a water based lubricant designed with anal play in mind. It's thicker than many water based lubes and will work for any couple, regardless of gender or orientation. Use it for lubing up fingers, plugs, beads, dildos and penises. While made for anal play, this lube can also be used vaginally since the ingredients are very body friendly (if you're looking for a vaginal lube, though, you're better off with sliquid's organics gel since it's made specifically for vaginas).

While silicone based lubricants are usually recommended for anal play, it can be a hassle since some of the best anal toys are made of silicone (and who wants to do a test spot on a favorite toy?). Also, silicone lubes can be hard to clean up aftersex, which can be a hassle. The Sliquid Sassy is a great compromise when looking for a thick water based lube that can be used anally and on silicone toys. In terms of allergies, the Sliquid Sassy is hypoallergenic. It does not contain glycerin, parabens, or sulfates, all common allergens. In fact, it only contains 5 ingredients (Water, cellulose, cyamopsis, potassium sorbate, and citric acid).

The Sassy Sliquid is not advertised as edible so it shouldn't be consumed intentionally. It's not one of those lubes designed for licking and oral foreplay.

Oh, it's also latex friendly, so it can be used with condoms without fear of the condom breaking down.

Just by turning the bottle about you can see that the Sassy lube is thick, thicker than many water based lubes. When you pour it, it won't run off your hand or leak everywhere. The liquid does travel with gravity, but at a labored pace. To test its viscosity, I put a drop on my index finger and turned my finger to watch the lube slide/drop off. It took over a minute for a droplet to form at the tip of my finger.



The thickness and viscosity are great since the lube won't quickly run off a toy or plug your are trying to use. It also won't just fall off when pouring it on.

Before using it on more sensitive areas, I put a small amount of lube in my hands and essentially moisturized my hand with the lube. I wanted to see how it dried, how it felt, and how it would feel washing off and cleaning. I did notice that if you rub the lube on vigorously, it will "sud" up a put and you'll see little white foam and bubbles. This is slight and goes away quickly. As the lube dries, it's a bit sticky, but when it dried completely, it felt like it wasn't there to begin with. My hand also felt pretty nice. When I went to wash my hand, I feel the lube when I ran water over my hand. It felt like my hand had a slippery film on it. Still, I was able to wash this away with just water.

The texture of the lube is smooth and clean. It's not gritty in any way.

The Sassy lube is not made for ingestion. If you happen to eat some of it by accident in later play, no harm should come of it. The scent of the lube is very light. Is smells very lightly of a mild soap. If you blindfolded someone and told them to guess the scent, lube would probably not come to mind.

It is nice that the lubricant isn't overbearing.

For a water based lube designed for anal play, I think the Sassy lube holds up well. One thick application can last 5-10 minutes of continuous, average (not jackhammer thrusting), anal sex. This lube doesn't gum up or become disgusting if you need to reapply, so this is no worry. Essentially, this lube lasts long enough that reapplying isn't a hassle.

The Sassy lube cleans up well off body parts. It'll wash away with just some water in the shower (but soap is always great too). If you don't have time to shower after play, a moist paper towel or a few wet wipes should clean you up well also. If you're too tired to move because the sex was that awesome, air drying works too, but it's best to wipe off any excess. If you sweat or get your skin wet later you'll feel that the lube was there (like when you put lotion on your legs or arms and if that skin gets wet) If some lube gets on clothes or fabric it will come out in the wash.

This lube is great for use on silicone toys, especially if you don't want to take a chance of ruining your favorite toys with a silicone lubricant. This lube may not be the best bet for long term plug wear (then again, you shouldn't really wear a butt plug beyond an hour or so since it can weaken your muscles/sphincter down there).

The Sassy lube came in a wrapped, clear plastic bag to prevent possible spillage. Once you open that, you can get to the bottle. It also seems that the bottle has undergone a change in cover art (the one in the video review is different) so here is a picture of it.



I do like that the front of the bottle highlights the word "Sassy" and not "booty." In fact, the word booty isn't even on the fron of the bottle (it's there in small print on the back). It makes the bottle classier, and I don't necessarily want the word Booty on the bottle in big letters. I know what I'm using it for (and i understand advertising) but I don't need others to see it at first glance. So, it's fairly discreet given that it's an anal lube. It is obvious that it's lube, though.

The cap of the bottle is like a shampoo bottle. You simply push the top down to open the cap. It can be opened and used with one hand. The plastic on the bottle is a bit hard, so it might be difficult to use with one hand if you're tired or have small hands. The cap seems to be made well and hasn't leaked. If screwed on tightly, it shouldn't. Still, if you decide to travel with it, it's best to put your Sassy lube in a plastic sandwich bag.

The bottle doesn't come with any instructions and there aren't any printed on the bottle.

The Sassy lube does not have any cooling or tingling properties, but it does have a nice commitment to ingredient integrity and customer satisfaction. It tells you all the things you'd want to know about this product before putting in on your body.

I am a fan of sliquid lubricants. I already own the Organics lubricant (which I use fairly often when inserting my vaginal weights) and love it so I thought to try the Sassy Booty formula. I ran out of my old anal play lubricant and decided to look for something better. The Sassy Sliquid did deliver.

I have used this lube for both toys and penises and am quite pleased. Since anal is something that doesn't last very long for us, we don't find the need to reapply often at all. When using anal toys, I tend to be able to use them for a while before reapplying.

*Update* When I started writing this review, I decided to put a little bit of lube on the edge of my sheet to see if it disappears or not. Some lubes tend to leave the "tell-tale" discoloration on the sheet. It always looks like it's wet. The Sassy Sliquid doesn't disappear completely, but it is a very slight darkening of the fabric.
