I usually use this lubricant for vaginal masturbation. This lube is the exact texture as the natural lubricant I produce when very aroused. This helps aid in masturbation because I am not put off by the feel of it.
Most lubes I have used in the past have that greasy feeling. The only thing I can focus on is that greasy feeling and I don't feel sexy at all.
Silky light feels just like the real thing, tricking my body into thinking that I am very aroused, which helps get over that first few minutes of masturbation where you feel like you are just 'going threw the motions'.
Since it is a water based lube it has no reaction to any of the toys in my collection. I don't have to stop and think about what lubes play nice with what materials. Whether the toy is silicone, plastic, glass, or metal; I just grab this bottle and go without any worries.
Normally during anal sex I use a thick silicone lubricant, because of the idea that water based lubes would just not hold up. This lubricant works great for anal! Its slick texture made for friction-less anal penetration.
This lube as a very thin consistency. Dispensing the product from the squeeze bottle is a little tricky.
The lube usually comes out very quickly and runs over poured areas with about the same speed as water. A strand of lube usually runes from the puddle dispensed, back to the cap.
When closing the cap and setting the bottle aside, there is usually a long thin strand still clinging. This usually makes clean up time a hassle having to dab up lube from fabric and other surfaces. Besides a messy clean up, I have not had this lubricant stain any of my cotton sheets or carpet.
Probe Silky Light had no taste or smell. At first notice I thought the lube had a light smell. After dispensing the lubricant onto the skin, I smelt nothing and tasted nothing. This lead me to believe that the light smell is the plastic container the lubricant comes in.
This lube lasts a long time. Just a nickel sized about smeared onto sex toys lasted about fifteen minutes of vaginal penetration. The lubricant did not become sticky or frothy during use. After fifteen minutes it started to feel like the lubricant was absorbing into the skin.
After applying some lube on the back of my hand it took twenty minutes until the lube was completely dissolved into the skin. There was no residue and my skin felt soft and hydrated.
I was pleasantly surprised on how well this lube stands up to the rigors of anal play. With about a quarter sized dob, the slippery texture lasted around ten minutes of pegging before it felt like the product was diapering into the skin.
I usually do not wash this product off after use. I like the minimal ingredients list of; purified water, vegetable glycerin, polyethylene oxide, and grapefruit seed. I just let the lubricant dry into the skin. I have not had any problems with redness, irritation, or infections.
The 8.5 fl. oz. of Probe Silky Light came in a 6 and three fourths inch tall plastic squeeze tube. There is no fancy pictures or designs on the front or back labels. Which make this product good for just sticking on a shelf to blend in with everyday items.
I store this product on its side in a lockable tool box. It has not leaked at all. The push down cap is easy to open with just the thumb, leaving the rest of the hand free to hold and squeeze out product at the same time.
Can be opened with one hand
Discreet looking packaging
Does not leak
Follow-up commentaryI still like it6 months after original review
Probe Silky Light took a backseat to the Sliquid Organics Gel (my current favorite). I did not want to be bothered cleaning up after it spread all over the bed sheets. Although I no longer use it for penetrative sex, I found it to work well with the Sqweel 2. The water-like consistency lets the silicone tongues flick around with little to no friction.
