Play a Little More

My travel companion while I studied abroad. Play More is a no-frills lube, that comes in a travel-ready bottle which does not leak, yet features a convenient pump. It is a lube which will always hold a sweet place in my heart, and always comes through.

Water-based, affordable, and in a pump bottle. Great for travel; does not leak.
Cons
Gel-like texture might be unpleasant to some, really just an average lube.

Play More lubricant comes packaged neatly in an attractive, clear plastic box, in a shimmery blue pump bottle. This pump does not leak like that on a body lotion bottle. It features a small, compact head, not unlike that of John Frieda's Frizz-Ease Serum.

With its attractive, discreet ,and sturdy bottle, Play More can be tossed into a purse, knocked over, stored on its side, and even thrown about without worry. That's why it's my go-to lube for drunken sessions.

Play More is a classic lube, a good default for beginners and far superior to other classic products such as Astroglide (gag). Although it does not re-hydrate terribly well, Play More only requires a small pump of lube before you're ready to go. It's water-based and glycerin-free, so you can use it with silicone toys and it won't make you more susceptible to yeast infections. It has a gel-like consistency, medium lasting-power, and no detectable difference in lasting power when used with and without a condom. Its taste is light yet synthetic, and I could detect no odor.

A bottle of Durex Play More traveled with me, during the year I spent traveling and studying abroad. Ready to be thrown into a purse for a night on the prowl, the bottle is definitely Play More's best asset.

In truth, it's really an average lube. It is better than Astroglide, poorer than Liquid Silk, and Play More ranks about mediocre. What distinguishes it for me is its reliability. Through a wide range of experiences and countries, for partnered and solo play, or simply to insert a menstrual cup, against all sorts of latex and odds, Durex Play came through for me.

It's ready to go, a girl-next-door sort of lube. She's not the smartest, but she has a great sense a humor and a charming personality. Play More holds strong in all conditions, from airplane to rain forest. She'll come camping with enthusiasm, but still looks natural on a night stand in a glitzy hotel.

Wherever you end up, whomever you end up with, at the end of the night, Play More won't let you down.

    I notice it's paraben-free, too.

Very well noted! I failed to address the ingredients almost entirely. It contains no glycerin and it's ingredients are as follows: Purified Water, Propylene glycol, Hydroxyethyl cellulose, Benzoic acid, Sodium hydroxide.

It also comes in a Cherry flavour, apparently. It seems to be quite limited in supply, though, and mostly accessible from the UK. Warming, Tingle and Play longer seem to be pretty widely available.

Does the stuff wash off easily?

You have a great sense of humor!

Great review. I think it's pretty cool that it comes in a pump bottle. That could be interesting. I was wondering about how easy it is to clean up though?

Thanks, I really appreciate it, you've just made my day Smile

Good question, but the answer is two-fold:

Durex Play has a clingy nature due to its hair gel-like consistency. So, like a spide-y hooligan at a football match, it wants to stick with its mates, and comes up off the vulva all together in a wipe or two with a tissue. If my metaphor is too dense/ostentatious, think of it this way: instead of dribbling away and smearing all over the place like, oh, Idunno, ASTROGLIDE, it tends to stay relatively in the same area. 'Course sweat always throws a wrench in the gears.

Cleaning it from your toys is a different matter. From silicone, it cannot be wiped off-- it will need to be washed off with soap and water, but comes off quick and easy as can be.

It is clear-coloured and leaves no stains, although I've never owned black sheets, which might be a different story. But even when I had a little oil mark where sweat had soaked the lube into fabric, it came up with a couple dabs of a wet cloth. This stuff is grade-school easy and convenient, for reals.

    Hope that answered your question!
