Wet gel lube was my first experience with lube, and it's definitely a good starter lube. A little thicker than natural saliva, Wet gel glides on smooth and slick, and whether your body naturally provides enough natural lubricant or not, it works great with toys for a little extra slick. However, the problem comes when you use it with direct skin-on-skin contact. When used for skin-on-skin contact, it absorbs quickly and gets uncomfortably sticky.

Besides slicking up solo-play with toys, the best way to use this lube is when using condoms. My partner and I use the lube on his member before putting on a condom, and not only does it make the condom slide on so much easier, even lubricated condoms, but it's so much more enjoyable for him. Many men find condoms confining and less pleasurable than sex without, but Wet gel lubricant did a fantastic job making the experience even better for him! It's even decent for anal, although requires frequent reapplication if you intend to use it for that. Interestingly enough, when used under the condom, he did not have to reapply the lube, even though he needed to reapply during masturbation.

As I said, when I used it for a little extra slick with my own personal toys, it did the job nicely and washes away with just water (although I recommend a little soap and water for security, or toy cleaner for toys). When I used it with my partner to give him a hand-job as foreplay, his skin absorbed it very quickly and it became sticky and the friction caused him discomfort. In fact, we had to reapply at least a dozen times in order to avoid hurting him. In the right amount, that is, if you keep reapplying it, it was very slick and he said it felt wonderful. For us, reapplying wasn't a problem, so we were able to overcome this difficulty. Just don't let it get sticky! You won't like it.

The bottle is easy to open. However, because of the smooth roundness of the top, the top is rather difficult to get off once your hand is slick, so I recommend leaving the top open if you expect you'll need to reapply. I haven't had a problem with the lube leaking out if the tube falls sideways, although the bottle does a fine job standing upright on a level surface such as a side table or the floor.

No odor, no taste, although I wouldn't recommend it for oral, it left an odd sensation on my tongue: like licking a latex glove without the latex taste. Clean up is a breeze, and it doesn't stain fabric. Wet gel is definitely our favorite general lube, great for toys, female masturbation, and couple play, but less so for male masturbation.
