Organic/Natural Lube Showdown! Part 3- Sliquid Natural
I wasn't impressed at all with this lube. It was too thin for any kind of prolonged use, and the need to constantly reapply breaks the mood more than a little. If you're going to try it, get the sample size. If you like thick lube, you'll want to look elsewhere.

Pros
Sample packet available, most organic ingredients of available products
Cons
Too thin, need to reapply a lot
After using an older bottle of Doc Johnson's Ultra lube for a long while, and recently reading the ingredients list with horror and concern, I decided it was time to expand my water-based lubricant horizons into the organic or mostly organic. I ordered a sampler pack of Good Clean Love lubricants (1 oz each of their 3 flavors) directly from their website, and Sliquid Organics Gel, Sliquid Organics Naturals, and Lelo Personal Moisturizer from EF. The comparison for all four is here.
What follows is my review of Sliquid Organics Natural water-based lubricant. Part 1 was my review of Sliquid Organics Gel, and Part 2 was my review of Good Clean Love's Almost Naked (unflavored) lube.
I'll be perfectly honest, I didn't like this lube at all. It was very thin, and it didn't feel like it actually did anything at all when it came to decreasing the friction and/or chafing involved in manual play. We used the entire sample pack (small though it was) in one session, and it wasn't enough. We turned to our usual Good Clean Love after awhile to finish me off, and I was left with the impression that this lube just wasn't going to cut it. I won't be buying any more, that's for sure.
As with the Sliquid Organics Gel, I was glad to see that Sliquid made an organic line and curious to try it out. It's encouraging to see that more and more sex toy companies are paying attention to what's in their products and making an attempt to leave behind the not-so-great ingredients. With some help from Wikipedia and WebMD, here is the ingredients list in plain English: Water; Plant cellulose (from cotton); Aloe; Vitamin E; Cyamopsis (or Guar gum, a fiber from the guar plant which is used as a thickener); Extracts of Hibiscus (a flower), Flax seeds, Green tea and Sunflower seed; Citric Acid (a very mild organic acid with natural preservative properties), and Phenoxyethanol (a water-soluble preservative used in pharmaceuticals and vaccines).
Overall, the ingredients are pretty decent for claiming to be organic and natural. With the exception of the preservative, phenoxyethanol, all the ingredients come from plants at least; no parabens, petrochemicals, or glycerin to speak of. That's one up on the other lubes in the showdown.

Yeah, we still think it sucks. It's just too thin and absorbs too quickly to make it practical, so I stand by my 2-star rating.
