Organic Lube Showdown! Part 2- Good Clean Love
All in all, I LOVE the Almost Naked Good Clean Love for it's almost-all-natural, 95% organic ingredients and thick consistency. As long as you don't mind a few preservatives, which are commonly used in the food we eat every day, I think you'll like this lubricant. It's my reigning favorite of the four organic/natural lubricants I've tried so far. We keep it as a staple on our bedside table.

Pros
Thick, Mostly organic, Just the right amount of slip for me
Cons
Colder than others when applied, a couple non-organic preservatives
After using an older bottle of Doc Johnson's Ultra lube for a long while, I read the ingredients list with horror and concern. I decided it was time to expand my water-based lubricant horizons into organic or mostly organic lubricant. I ordered a sampler pack of Good Clean Love lubricants (1 oz each of their three flavors) directly from their website, and Sliquid Organics Gel, Sliquid Organics Naturals, and Lelo Personal Moisturizer from EF. The comparison for all four is here.
In Part 1, I reviewed Sliquid Organics Gel here. My favorite between all the lubes I tried so far is called "Almost Naked Good Clean Love!". My fiance picked out this first when I showed him the new lubricants we had to try. He admitted that he chose it only because of the name. The sampler pack comes with three "pillow packs" of each of : Almost Naked (unflavored), Cinnamon Vanilla, and Lavender Rose flavors. We only used the unflavored for manual stimulation. We did not use this lubricant for oral. I am unable to write a comparison of the flavors just this second.
Each pack is one fluid ounce, and that is much more than we expected. One little sample lasted us through 10-15 play times, so it's well worth trying. I really wish EF offered the sample pack for that reason.
What I love most is that this lubricant is nice and thick. We do not need to re-apply very often while we play. It glides inside me easily, and does what lubricant is supposed to do: ease the friction! Even when my own natural lubrication is plentiful, I like a little extra slipperiness for subsequent orgasms. On days that I do not have a lot of my own juices, the "Good Clean Love Lubricant" gives enough for me to still have the fun.
As far as I could tell, there is no strong smell. I did detect a faint citrus scent, probably from the small amount of citric acid. It's barely noticeable to me. The clear gel resembles the consistency of goopy jelly, and it always seems to be very cold coming out of the tube. Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed that this lubricant takes the longest of all five. I've tried to warm up the lubricant to body temperature. With that said, it only takes about ten seconds. If you aren't paying attention, it can take you by surprise and potentially kill the mood. I've learned to expect the extra warming time needed. That is the only drawback I've found to this lubricant.
Of course the ingredients are a huge plus. For the Almost Naked/unflavored lube: Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (or aloe vera juice), Xanthan Gum, Agar, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor. From my research (which is basically WebMD and Wikipedia, so consider the source): Xanthan gum is used to thicken and stabilize. It is derived from fermented sugar and definitely not organic. Agar also gives the lubricant the "gelling" properties, and it's a plant. Potassium sorbate seems to be used as a preservative. You will find it in dried fruit, though it's also not organic by any means. Sodium benzoate is also a preservative, and it's used in vinegar and sodas. Citric acid is a very mild organic acid that has natural preservative properties as well.
Overall, I would say there is not much here to be worried about unless you have a known allergy to one of the ingredients. All of them are used in food products, so you can judge their safety for yourself from that measure. Notably absent from these lists are any petrochemicals, parabens, or glycerin. I've noticed that after using this lubricant, my skin feels a little more nourished compared to the paraben-happy Ultra lubricant. This lubricant formula is also vegan-friendly and cruelty-free according to the label.
After using up the sample, I bought two more full-size tubes. I am loving the flip-tops instead of the cardboard and paper pillow packs. The tubes are smooth plastic and are unfortunately not recyclable. Like the Sliquid Organics line, I would also say that the packaging is discreet. The tube container instead of the bottle might make it a little more obvious what the product is for, but not necessarily. The logo images on the tube is reminiscent of a periodic table with nature images mixed in. I doubt an observers thoughts will jump to anything sexual. Unless they had a cute chemistry teacher in high school...but that is another story.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I'm really sad that Good Clean Love changed their formula for their unflavored "Almost Naked" lubricant. The "old formula" that I had in a 1 oz. sampler was nice and thick, and it contained benzoic acid as its last ingredient. The new formula is more watery, and it has citric acid instead. While that doesn't usually bother me in products, I've been noticing an uncomfortable internal tingling lately whenever we use it. So even though I have one whole bottle and about a third of another left, I'm going to stop using this lube. It's a bummer when companies try to fix something that isn't broken.
