OK Jelly
Ask the Average Joe to name a brand of lube in a rapid-fire Family Feud kind of situation. KY Jelly is always what first comes to mind. It’s sold in drugstores and incredibly well-known. Like the Kardashians and Paris Hilton, just because it’s well known doesn’t necessarily mean it deserves the fame. KY is average and pretty unimpressive.

USE:
KY Jelly is intended for masturbation and vaginal intercourse. It could be used as a jack off lube or for feminine masturbation with toys or otherwise. I would not recommend using it for anal, because it does dry up quickly. It may help with butt plug insertion because basic KY Jelly is used in the medical field for inserting enemas and those sorts of purposes. It isn’t supposed to be used for oral sex. Don’t put it in your mouth. Don’t eat it either. I’d recommend Strawberry Jelly for that purpose. KY Jelly isn’t good to put on toast.
Being water-based, this isn’t the best for play in the shower as it will wash away easier than other lubes. KY Jelly is safe for use with condoms and with silicone toys.
ALLERGEN AND IRRITANT INFORMATION:
KY Jelly is safe for most people, because it is formulated for medical uses. However, if you have an allergy, sensitivity, or opposition to parabens, you should not purchase KY at all. The lack of scents or dyes means it is more friendly towards those who are prone to UTIs. However, glycerin is an ingredient and if that doesn’t agree with you, move along to another brand! It is unscented, so there are no strong scents. It doesn’t smell like NOTHING, it just has a light and not particularly noticeable or unpleasant scent.
TEXTURE AND PERFORMANCE:
Ky Jelly is indeed jelly-like in consistency. It feels thicker and stickier when you first squeeze it out of the tube than compared to when you’re using it. It’s clear in color.
I did not like KY in use. I found that it dried up quickly and I had to reapply multiple times. I don’t recommend this lube at all if you like thrusting during sex or masturbation. It dries up much faster while thrusting. Another thing I disliked is that it did not absorb into my skin - instead it left sticky residue. The lube can roll into little tiny jelly balls on the base of the toy/penis that you’re using. Due to the leftover residue, I feel the need to take a shower and wash off every time I use KY Jelly.
It isn’t terrible. It’s decent, but I know there are better lubes out there so I don’t buy KY anymore.
PACKAGING:
It comes in a non-sexual-looking squeeze bottle. The label is discreet, but everyone knows what KY Jelly is, so they might notice the name and think "I know what that is. That's for sex. You use that for sexing." It’s kind of like a toothpaste tube looking bottle. It has a flip cap, which is way more convenient in the moment when compared to a cap that you have to screw off.
SPECIAL FEATURES:
None. It’s pretty standard. Though I have heard it is better to wrestle with than jello. If you’re looking for a jello wrestling alternative, this might be a wise purchase.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Yeah, KY Jelly is fairly cheap. Yeah, it’s an unscented water-based lube. It’s OK. Similar lubes exist and could probably do the job better. You are on Edenfantasys and have more options at your fingertips than other people who are sheepishly heading to the self-checkout at a drugstore with their condoms and lubricant. You’re shopping at an adult store, get something better! This lube is basic!
