Oh, My God! Thick, not slick.

Overall, Sliquid Organics is a lovely niche lubricant that should speak to the "green" sensibility. The ingredients are safe to ingest during oral fun and should be soothing to most due to its organic aloe content. It's quite expensive for a product that needs such frequent re-application, but I would recommend it to women with allergies or to anyone who cares about what is going into their mucous membranes.

Use

This is great for more sensitive, touchy vaginas, like mine. It will appeal to anyone looking for a decent, water-based lube that is void of all the parabens, propylene glycol, and other questionable ingredients. I thought it might be good for anal; however, it dries out fairly quickly and isn't slick enough for my needs. This lube does a decent job of mimicking natural vaginal lubrication (for a while, at least).

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

I expected this product to have a much more slippery feel. I enjoy the fact that it's quite thick, which is exactly what I expect of a gel. It is thick enough that when half the bottle is gone, it tends to be a bit tough to squeeze out. The plus side is that it goes where you want it to and doesn't ooze away into the sheets, contributing to the wet spot. It's neither tacky nor greasy.
    • Needs frequent re-application
    • Smooth
    • Thick

Taste / Aroma

I didn't discern any real aroma, despite the botanical ingredient list. The taste is pretty neutral: not particularly good, but not gag inducing. If you're looking for something that's inoffensive yet effective, this is a good pick out of the natural lubes I've sampled.

Performance

The only issues with this lube are its lifespan and how it feels if you have micro-tears in your vagina/vulva from rough sex. You have to reapply it often, especially under vigorous thrusting conditions. It tends to sting if I have any irritation from shaving or from crazy sex marathons. On the plus side, I never feel the need to wash up from it. It absorbs like a dream, and I feel good about the ingredients I'm absorbing!
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Dries up too fast
    • Reapply often

Packaging

The bottle is very earthy and pretty. Honestly, I would've thought it was a lotion or other innocuous beauty product had I seen it on another person's bedside table. The opaque bottle makes it difficult to see how much product remains, but it is aesthetically pleasing. If not for its freakish ability to generate telltale "crusties" along the cap, I would leave it out in the open in the company of anyone. This is an item I'd take traveling with me without worry, as I doubt it would leak -- and if it did, it would clean up easily. I really like that it is recyclable. The label also clearly states what's NOT in the product (glycerin, parabens, petroleum) and that it's vegan -- with, of course, no animal testing involved.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Does not leak
    • Travel friendly
Follow-up commentary
I know that I mentioned this is hard to get out of the bottle as you get towards the end, and that is still an issue that gets to be more of a bother as I reach the end of my supply.

However, after trying samples of many other water-based lubes, I'm more and more happy with Sliquid. It works great for inserting my Luna Balls and is definitely adequate for sex and masturbation. I find with harder types of toys, I still prefer something slicker and with simpler ingredients so as to avoid chafing and irritation.

Overall, though, this will become my go-to water-based lubricant unless something better reaches my radar. I really like Sliquid's ingredients, and I feel like I'm doing something good for my body when I choose this lube over one with synthetics.

Thanks for the review. This is definitely one of the best water-based lubricants I have tried, and I love that it's organic.

Thanks for all the comments, everyone. My first review, haha, I remember it fondly

eeep, I am liking it more and even got a second bottle. It's up there with Hathor for me as far as natural water-based lubes. Both are awesome, I just find this one a better value than Hathor overall based upon prize/size/how much I need to use.

This is my current favorite lube, too. I haven't had to re-apply it much and I use it for extended play with anal toys. Love that it's safe and green, but mainly just love the performance. I use a "lube shooter" (not available on EF, but elsewhere) to get to the bottom of the bottle. Thanks for a great review.
