Not very tart.
I did not have a great experience with this lube. No real taste, soapy smell, contains sucralose and citric acid and burns if recently shaven. I think there are better out there.

Pros
Slick, water based, non-toxic.
Cons
Citric acid causes burning, not very flavored, smells like soap, contains sucralose.
I have a few issues with this lube. First of all, when me and my boyfriend went to use it after I shaved, it burned pretty bad. Bad enough to where we had to stop using it, wipe it off and use another one. The texture did seem okay but the burning overpowered it. It is not very long lasting or slick. We had the watermelon flavor but it is not tart at all. It hardly smells or tastes like anything at all. Definitely not watermelon. The taste in so minimal and it smells like soap. This lube is not tangy either. Neither of us experienced and increase in saliva due to the tartness. I did not notice staining, since it is clear, and it is latex friendly
It says sugar-free on it which is a great feature however the ingredients say sucralose. It is technically not a sugar and that may be where they're trying to get the sweetness, in but even sugar substitutes shouldn't be in a lube. There is also glycerin in it if anyone doesn't like that.
The one ingredient that I have an even bigger problem with is the citric acid. After the burning I experienced I looked at the ingredient list and the citric acid explains it all. That is why they call it tarts but it burns more than it is tarty. I will not use this if I had previously shaved. Maybe a few days after would be acceptable. I would not recommend this lube. There is also propylparaben in it. I don't know how many lubes contain this ingredient but it seems like a bad ingredient to put into your body. Perhaps I got a bad flavor, maybe others are stronger but watermelon was basically soapy and boring. It is not a worthy flavored lube or even long lasting or sex worthy. I don't think it is great and could not hold up to my toy use.

The smell smells like that gooey flubber stuff I would buy as a kid. My boyfriend does not like the taste (he says it doesn't taste like the flavor indicated, he said it tasted "gross"). I thought we were going to use this one until it was gone to not waste money but the waste is done. I thought I could deal with the irritation. I threw it away half full a few days ago. Not only does it burn externally (lemon juice on shaved pussy), I realized even when skipping on shaving this stuff burns internally too. No suprise right? After all its citric acid in your cooch. This stuff is one hot mess. Luckily I was given a large sample of ID Juicy flavored lube and its done us great. Definatley a better option than this.

Thank you for viewing Sex tarts – water-based lubricant review page!
To Heartthrob: It is a bit running. It is not water thin but it runs quickly through the hole. I would like it if it were thicker, it would hold up better.
