Not Really Original

I don't necessarily love this kit, but I like the price. It functions on a basic level, and it's kind of cool because of how convenient and travel-friendly it is. I just see room for improvement.

Use

I must have a one track mind lately...I just bought lubricated wipes for sex on the go, and now it seems that the best use I can find for the Wet original safe sex kit is sex on the go. I suppose, in a twist of sorts, this kit is also a great way to give yourself a lecture about safe sex. The entire inside of the packaging is filled with little tidbits of information like "Look before you lick!," and "Testing 1,2,3!" Then, all of a sudden, Wet throws in to clean yourself between partners. Ha!

The Wet original safe sex kit will appeal to anyone who isn't monogamous and already fluid bonded. Well...everyone except for anyone who is more well-endowed or who is allergic to latex or glycerin.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The Wet original lubricant is a gel lubricant, so I expected it to stay put. However, it surprised me by being rather thin and running. The lubricant is water-based, so that could explain some of the thinness, but at least it washes off easily with just water. Mine has an expiration date of 5 years from now, and the condom expires in two years. This means that this little kit will be in good shape for awhile (provided you don't keep it in your car or your wallet).

The condom is pretty average. I personally prefer for my condoms to be as thin as they can be without losing the necessary strength to not burst apart. This is not an ultra-thin condom, and therefore I'm not a big fan. However, it's not unexpectedly small or anything either (Durex, I'm looking at you!).

Taste / Aroma

The lubricant is unscented, which I'm a fan of. However, the condom does include latex, so there is that stereotypical latex smell. It's not overbearing, but it does exist on some level. I didn't taste the lubricant. With this kit, it's pretty unlikely that anyone will be tasting it.

Performance

This is a singular use kit, so it either performs, or it doesn't. There is no second chance for this product. That being said, this kit functions just fine for its intended purpose. It's not necessarily the most fantastic kit that I could think of nor is it the worst. If I made my own kit, I'd use an ultra-thin condom, and I'd probably use Sliquid lubricant. However, for the price and convenience, I'd rather buy this kit than put my own together any day. As previously stated, the lubricant does wash off easily with only warm water. However, the lubricant on the condom may need a little soap to come off since it is silicone based.

Packaging

There is a cardboard packet that holds the individually packaged lubricant and condom. The cardboard has quite a bit of information on it. The condom wrapper is standard in size. It is black and blue with silver writing and polka dots. The back gives the whole Aids/HIV bit. The Wet original lubricant is .10 oz. and gives directions, warnings, and a list of ingredients.
