My Favorite Lube

I would definitely buy this product again, and have already suggested it to friends. Although the packaging was disappointing, the lube itself is excellent and exactly what I was looking for. The attributes that I feel make this product better than others is the texture, the length of time it lasts for, and its washability.

Use

This is a great all-purpose lube. I have used it on toys, during sex and with condoms. I have not used this for anal play, but I am sure it would work great. I have had no problems with any of the ingredients reacting badly with my skin, or my boyfriend's either.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This product has a great texture. It pours easily, but is thick enough to be applied without dripping everywhere. It can get sticky as the water evaporates out of it, so reapplication or re-hydrating is necessary if it is being used for longer periods of time.

Taste / Aroma

When tasted it does have a sweet flavor, and the same slightly chemical aftertaste that even the flavored lube I have tried had. It is completely odorless and clear.

Performance

This product lasts a very long time, but not as long as the silicone-based lubes. It does not stain, which is why I chose this over the silicone lubes. I don't have to reapply it during a one hour session, but I do reapply if it goes longer. Since it is a water-based lube it is easy to wash off body parts, toys, and fabrics. The thick texture is what draws me to this lube over and over again. Thinner lubes can be messy and don't last as long in my opinion.

Packaging

The packaging is not my favorite, as the lid requires force to open and close. The bottle can get very slippery or sticky, making it more difficult than pump style dispensers when used "in the moment." If you do not securely close the lid it may also leak if not left upright.

I have tried many, many lubes, and this one is the one I keep coming back to. I always have a bottle by my bed.

Really good first review! Congrats on it. I enjoyed reading how this worked out for you. I usually am satisfied with WET products, especially their flavored lubes, but I've heard mostly negative things about this one. For instance, I've heard it's sticky, leaves a nasty residue, etc. I too like a somewhat thick lubricant, but despise residue or stickiness. Did you notice anything like that with this? Does it require a shower to remove the residue right after? I'm more of a Liquid Silk girl myself, when it comes to an everyday lube, but this does look nice. I'm glad you like it & that it lasted long enough.

I almost always shower directly after using it, but it does leave a sticky residue if I don't. When away from a shower I use wet wipes, which remove it relatively well. The only Sliquid product I have used is the Sliquid Silver silicone lube, but I would like to try the Silk. Thanks!
