If you are thinking of venturing via mass relay into the "star system" of silicone lubricants, this is the lube for you. It doesn't quite live up to the claim of mimicking body fluid. However, Bodyfluid does make a wonderful massaging medium and lube for intercourse, masturbation and anal play.

Not discreet Lingering oily feeling on skin Eh taste
This is my favorite silicone lube so far. The Bodyfluid can be used for sex; it is better suited for anal play and masturbation because this lube does not absorb as well as water-based lubes. I prefer Bodyfluid over my Neutrogena sesame massage oil because I noticed that the lube is less likely to clog up my pores which leads to acne breakouts.
Longer lasting than natural body fluids At 3.4 fl. oz (100 mL), I was happily surprised at how thin Bodyfluid is for a silicone lube. I was expecting something a bit thick that wouldn't mix very well with my natural body fluids. The smooth slickness of the lube is what makes it feel "android-like" (EDI would approve); this is not off-putting during use. I appreciate that the formula is simple because of the few ingredients: dimethicone, dimethiconol, and cyclomethicone.
In regards to the comparable* Similar Products at the end of this review: Reasons to choose Bodyfluid over the others:
1. Bodyfluid has the least amount of ingredients (3 total).
2. Bodyfluid has a really easy-to-use pump.
3. Bodyfluid is portable for its size, 6.23 inches long by 1.1 inches wide (16 cm long by 2.8 cm wide), because of the plastic components and the aluminum bottle.
*comparable because all three (Bodyfluid, Sex in the Shower, and System Jo premium lubricant) are listed in the Top 10 Silicone based lubes
I do not enjoy this lube for oral because it almost has the consistency of olive oil without any of the flavoring. I got through experimenting with three licks of my palm before I went "Ehhh, no". It's not quite bitter; I would not call it pleasant either. It has no smell which you may find lacking if you are used to scented massage oils/candles.
I am impressed with my first experiment with a silicone lube. I love how consistent the pump is because I do not have to focus on making sure too much suddenly squirts out. The pump resistance is very small, which is wonderful when you only have one free hand. It’s great because a pump or two lasts without reapplication. Keep in mind that you might want to rinse off the bottle if you grab it while your hands are still lubed up because it can slip out of your hands in the shower. This lube is not compatible with silicone materials, a general rule of all silicone lubes. If you like Fun Factory, their water-based lube Toyfluid is compatible with silicone toys.
Fun Factory's Bodyfluid does not come packaged in a box. This is relevant if you are planning on gifting it. The aluminum bottle is worry-free in regards to damage because it is more durable than plastic. I would not call this lube discreet because the bottle is a bright red and the tagline at the bottom, “FOR LOVERS”. I juxtaposed the Bodyfluid with the discreet Lelo's personal moisturizer (a.k.a water-based lubricant) to accentuate the differences in discreetness.
Manufactured in Germany, Mindesthaltbarkeitsdatum, or MHD, is the German-equivalent of the English term Best-Before-Date. This is printed in a difficult to read golden font at the bottom of the bottle. Mine expires in March 2015, approximately a little less than three years from the purchase date. This is reinforced by the “high-quality steel optics”, which is a fancy phrase for the steel screw-like connection between the bottle and the pump. The plastic cap securely snaps into place without much force.
A Somewhat Superfluous Supplement The bottle comes with a plastic piece that helps to secure the bottle from leaking during travel. I forgo it most of the time because I rarely travel by plane or long distances that would be more turbulent than a weekend play party trip.
This is my go-to lube for now when I am not playing with silicone toys. Because of its dependable performance I feel confident, in particular with anal play. My partner and I both agree that we do not like how we feel like washing off afterwards (and we have) because it does not absorb quickly. I do not know if this lube will stain your sheets because we wash off afterwards; please do a spot test if you are concerned.
We might be using too much which is something I'll address in my follow-up review. I rated this product 4 stars because the residual oiliness keeps my partner and I from savoring the experience.
Follow-up commentaryI still like it4 months after original review
Although I rarely use Bodyfluid, I still like it. Because I use silicone toys often, it's only been used a handful of times. I did use less pumps of the lube and noticed that there wasn't as much to clean up. If its water counterpart Toyfluid didn't have glycerin I would try that. Because the expiration date is in 2015 and I don't plan on buying another silicone lube, I'll keep this lube around.
