This lube is a good choice for solo, couple or toy play and is also safe for all materials. Men and women will enjoy using this for masturbation. The texture is slippery without being too watery, which is also great for toy lubrication. This lasts a long time and makes intercourse very pleasant. This does tend to work with the female anatomy to prevent further dryness.

It is a bit thin for using with a penis pump and tends to get sucked into the pump instead of helping to create a seal at the base. I am not sure about use as an anal lube, but considering what I have read about thicker lubes working better than thin lubes, you may not wish to use this one.

The lube comes out of the pump dispenser easily. One pump is all you should need, even for the Sqweel 2. It stays in place, being a thicker lube, but does thin out after warmed up from your skin. The thickness and texture reminds me of aloe vera--right as you open the leaf to apply it to a burn.

The feeling of the Maximus between your fingers is very silky and slippery. When applied and used with toys, it adds a very sensual glide to the toy. There is no stickiness or gummy feeling that some of the water based lubes end up as, but a slippery, wet feeling that is a bit better than natural lubrication. When combined with a woman's natural lubrication, this lube will really go the distance. I do not have to apply during intercourse, but do need a dab to begin.

This is a wonderfully long lasting lube that will work for almost anyone. I do have to admit to having a heavy feeling after reapplying a few times, but it isn't sticky or tacky. I just feel the lube on my skin and get that heavy coating feeling. There is not really much lube when I wash it off, it has absorbed into the skin.

Once the lube is applied, there is no aroma at all. If you pump it on your finger and sniff, you will notice just the faintest chemical aroma--reminiscent of the doctor's office. I do not find this unpleasant or noticeable. I truly only notice this when I am trying to get an odor from the lube--for this review--and have put it to my nose immediately after dispensing it onto my finger.

I did taste it and it does have a slight taste of antiseptic and, again, the doctors office. Not that I go around licking my doctors offices, but more how the smell transfers to your mouth. Or maybe the taste of the sterile tongue depressor... It is very faint and not noticeable again, unless you are looking for it.

If I giver my husband oral after a hand job using the Maximus lube, there is an unpleasant coating in my mouth, but not a horrid taste. It is gone as soon as I take a drink of water.

Maximus has a thicker, slippery wetness that does last during intercourse. I found that reapplication was basically unnecessary for this use. It works with the female anatomy and will stay wet if you have any natural lubrication occurring.

When used with toys or for masturbation, this lube is fairly long lasting and provides a slippery but non-invasive lube. I did not notice any desensitizing from using this lube, many other brands do cause a slight bit of loss of feeling when used. Reapplication was necessary for me after about 30 minutes of toy play.

There was no tacky or stickiness to the lube after being used for awhile, which is a pleasant change. Clean up was easy, just use water and a damp washrag to remove the excess lube. The times I was just too relaxed to get up it did not bother me to leave it overnight. It does absorb into your skin and leaves it feeling soft.
