Making the best even better!
If you like getting zapped you NEED some of this. I'm a mess over some electricity and I highly doubted that it could feel any better than it already did. Little did I know that this stuff is the missing ingredient to the best time ever. It takes the "sting" out and increases the intensity and conductivity of the current. What's not to love about that? It also helps to extend the life of electrode pads. Not to mention, it doesn't get sticky, icky, or gross and is actually good for your skin.

Pros
Increases conductivity, takes the sting out, conditions skin, no residue
Cons
Nothing!
Let me just say now that electricity is a pretty big fetish of mine. I own the Fetish Fantasy Series Shock Therapy Kit, as well as the Kinklab Neon Wand and Power Tripper Attachment. The last two items are probably my most favorite things in the entire world. There's just something about getting zapped that sends chills down my spine. Whether it's a light tingle or an attention getting sting, I'm all for it.
With both types of electricity play there are ways to make it more "pleasurable". That's where this gel comes in handy and why it ended up in my hands. The packaging for both items suggested that electrode gels (or in the case of the Neon Wand/Power Tripper it was "lotions and oils") would intensify the experience while making it more "comfortable" and effective. What could be more perfect than this stuff? Probably nothing.
Here are some ingredients for you: Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice, Zinc Gluconate, Magnesium Aspartate, Copper Gluconate, Carboxymethyl Hydroxyethylcellulose, Carbomer, Sodium Chloride (Natural Salt), Diazolidinyl Carbamide, Sodium Hydroxide (pH Modifier), Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.
Even though some of those ingredients are rather shady looking, everything in this gel is meant to help moisturize and protect the skin. When you're playing with electricity it's always a good thing, right? Oh, and the aloe! Of course electricity meeting your skin isn't the best thing for it, but with a little aloe thrown into the mix you can be sure that everything will remain soothed, calm, and smooth. Hell, this stuff is awesome enough that I'm sometimes tempted to use it by itself because of how friendly it is. And no, it's not "lube", so don't go sticking it inside yourself.
So, what does it actually do? Well, in the case of the Shock Therapy Kit, it's wonderful for use with the pads. I know after a few uses mine would start to stick less and develop "hot spots" (where certain parts would stick better than others and have a higher concentration of the current). Not to mention, when this happened, the higher intensity settings had a bit too much of a sting or burn to them even though they felt excellent. This gel does two things in this scenario. First, it helps the pads to stay sticky. With normal TENS units, it's suggested to put a little of the gel on the pads before storage to ensure that the adhesive remains sticky. Apparently the stickiness is somehow related to the moisture content of the pad and the gel helps with that. Second, when you apply the pads to the skin the gel helps to eliminate those terrible hot spots ensuring that the pad is all the way stuck to you. Next, it helps to ramp up the conductivity of the current. This is wonderful because it takes away that burny, stinging sensation and allows the current to travel through the skin without being irritating to the nerves or the skin itself. I'm really surprised they don't just sell the gel in the kit as it seems like a requirement here!
The Neon Wand doesn't have these pads, but this gel is also very helpful here, too. I love my Neon Wand to death, but sometimes the higher levels feel "sharp". It feels a lot like getting tattooed, actually. When using the Power Tripper it's even more intense on both ends. Much to my delight the gel takes away that crazy sting and leaves behind the powerful and wonderfully painful tingles. My test subjects greatly agreed with me on this one, too. It increased the "oooh" and "aaah" while decreasing the "ouch" and "yikes" factors.

Experience
The gel is pretty gel-like in consistency. Nothing runny, gooey, sticky, or anything like that. Honestly, it's exactly like an after-sun aloe gel. It dispenses very easily out of the tube without being messy. You only need a small amount each time (and the 4oz tube should last forever). It spreads very easily and smoothly, but it's not like a lube. It doesn't stay wet and begins to dry pretty quickly. Now normally writing that in a review would be bad, but it's really good here. Even after the gel dries it does still retain the effects it has. I put some on a forearm and let it dry, broke out the Neon Wand, and even though you couldn't tell anything was there I could still feel a difference. It leaves behind no residue, stickiness, tackiness, greasiness, or anything. I honestly have no idea how this stuff could be any better in this manner.
I'm very much impressed by this stuff. I honestly didn't know how well it would actually work but decided to give it a shot. What? You mean my electricity can feel better? Impossible! But it does. It really does. Not to mention, it will extend the life of your pads in the Shock Therapy Kit.
