Liquid Silk - Silicone Toy Use Clarification!!!
Liquid Silk does contain silicone, if you want to be safe, I would not use it on silicone toys. Rather, buy their sister product "Maximus", it contains no silicone.
Published:
Pros
Doesn't get sticky.
Cons
Contains silicone, dries out fast.
I emailed the company regarding Liquid Silk containing silicone "Dimethicone", and whether or not it is SAFE to use with silicone toys. This is the response I received.

Hi
Thanks for your email
Liquid Silk is a water based lubricant as it is predominantly made from highly purified water and the percentage of dimethicone is extremely small. Whereas in he past we would have said it is absolutely fine with silicone toys, we do advise people if they have any concerns whatsoever to contact the manufacturer of the toy and ask them. Because there are so many toys now, and they are all made in different ways etc, we can not keep up with every one, and we feel that the manufacturer is the best place to double check.
I think you will find that most if not all water based lubes will contain a tiny element of dimethicone, but this does not mean they are not ‘water based lubricants’
Obviously if you have any doubts or concerns about using our product, it would be best to err on the side of caution
Best regards,
K***

Long story short, it does contain silicone. I personally will NOT use Liquid Silk with any of my silicone toys. However, I will use "Maximus", made by the same company. Maximus does NOT contain ANY amount of silicone for your information. I also believe Liquid Silk should not be called "water-based", or on the packaging, it should say "I contain silicone, do not use me with silicone based toys". This is just my personal opinion and I think it would be a nice thing of the company to do that. Don't get me wrong, I love Liquid Silk, I use it for everything except for my silicone toys!
I hope this helps some of you which had questions, I sure did.
