Just the right amount of "slippery"
I have been a loyal user of Astroglide since 1991. I love it and I recommend it to anyone that needs a product like this.

Pros
Water-based, not sticky, good for silicone toys
Cons
Gets sticky if you forget to close the bottle.
I have used Astroglide for over 20 years. I was first introduced to it in 1991. I actually got some samples of this before it was on the market. It was given to me by a nurse at Planned Parenthood. I have never tried anything else more than once. I always stick with the Astroglide. I have never been disappointed in this product. It has virtually no odor and is completely non-staining.
It is safe for silicone toys because it is a water-based product. Clean up is simple, and a little soap and water removes any traces.
I have used this product for everything from my earliest sexual experiences to more recent discoveries with anal play, and anal sex. I do not think I would have been willing to attempt the latter if I hadn't had a reliable lube like Astroglide. My boyfriend enjoys Astroglide, because the bottle can slip right inside my purse and we can use it whenever we travel. He enjoys Astroglide because it doesn't dry out or become sticky during or after use.
There are new varieties of Astroglide on the market. Gel (my current favorite), warming, Astroglide X (silicone), glycerin and paraben-free, natural, and strawberry.
This lubricant is not a spermicidal lubricant, so it cannot be used for prevention of pregnancy. If you are practicing safe sex (and we hope you are!), it will make it much more comfortable when you use a condom. This is also vegan-friendly.
This product is not known to cause decreased sperm motility, but it is also not designed for couples trying to conceive. If you need something that is more specific to infertility, you will want something like Pre-seed. No known issues while being pregnant have been reported, but you should check with your OB first.
Try Astroglide, and you will thank me later!

We have had the pleasure of trying this with a few new toys lately, as well as beginning anal play, and it's still the best!

Thanks for a good review! I used to be a fan of Astroglide, and I'm still a fan of the glycerin/paraben free and natural versions, but I'm too concerned about the potential harms of glycerin (may contribute to yeast infections) and parabens to use it now. I like Sliquid Organics Gel, which has natural, healthy ingredients as well as better functionality, IMO. But Astroglide is still a MAJOR step up from KY and I like the little bottles so much that I held onto one to refill with Sliquid for when we travel!

Thank you for sharing. I think this is decent, but I've found others that I prefer over this. M
