Just Add Water…..Repeatedly
I would not recommend this even though this is made of good ingredients and is glycerin free. The problem was with the taste, smell and stickiness of the product.

Pros
Reasonably priced, flip top lid, glycerin free.
Cons
Smell, taste, stickiness.
Once upon a time, I decided that I needed to find a great lubricant to use with my toys, or for when it just wasn't happening naturally. I had no idea that there were so many lubricants on the market or that there was such a difference in quality among them all, and so began my quest.
Better Sex Liquid Lubricant was one of the first lubes I tried on the road to finding what I really liked. And while this isn't the worst lube out there, it is far from the best.
According to the Better Sex website their lubricants are manufactured in the US by an FDA approved, cGMP licensed facility specializing in nutraceutical formulations. Also they say that this water based lubricant is glycerin free for worry-free vaginal use, stain free, latex, silicone and condom compatible.
The ingredients in the Better Sex Liquid Lubricant are: Di-Water, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Peg-45, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Polyquaternium 5, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Propylene Glycol, Germall 11, Sodium Benzoate, Aspartame, Polysorbate 20, Aloe Vera Extract, Ginseng Extract, Guarana extract, Avena Sativa
This all sounded very impressive to me so I decided to give it a try. The first thing I noticed is that in the bottle it has a kind of sweet, medicinal, funny smell. But once you put it on the smell pretty much disappears. It also has a slightly sweet funny taste. I have found that I really don't care for lubes that have any taste to them at all.
But I gave it a try anyway. When you first apply it, this lubricant feels pretty nice, slick and somewhat natural. But rather quickly it becomes very dry and sticky. To remedy this I guess I could add water to get the slick feeling back. But why would I want to? Isn't the point of a really good lube to replace the need for water, spit, whatever?
The Better Sex Liquid Lubricant comes in a fairly large, 8 oz bottle with a flip top lid. And the price is fairly reasonable. This is a water based lube, so it can be used in all situations. Though because it is water based, using it in water probably will not work very well. It does rinse or wash off very easily, so clean up is a breeze.
So because of the taste, smell and stickiness, I decided the quest would continue to find the best lubricant I could, and this wasn't it. Fortunately I have since found what I believe to be the best.

Though I still have this, I never use it. I guess I'm just keeping it around just in case I need lube and it's the only thing I have. But I doubt it.

Sammi, no wonder why it tasted funny. I hate aspartame.
Playful Grrl, What exactly is Guarana? I know it's an herb but thats it.
