It's Pretty Smooth & Slick...In The Garage.

The amount in the bottle and the lower price makes this a good bargain...until you factor in the many times you need to reapply the lube. You can get a bit longer usage if you use a dab of water to reactivate, but you can only do this one time. On the plus side, there are no gummy balls or residue left behind! This is a decent quality lube that is steps above the drugstore brand but very lacking compared to the better brands.

Use

Smooth & Slick is a water based sexual lubricant. Safe for use with all toy materials, it does have Glycerine in it, so those with allergies to this chemical may choose to use a different lube. This is designed for use with sexual toys, penetration, masturbation and is also a good household lubricant.

The water based lubes are easily removed, leave less of a residue on toys and are thinner and more natural feeling than oil and silicone based lubes. This makes them safer to use for most people. This lube has Glycerine as a second ingredient, so those who have a negative reaction to the chemical should not use this lube.

I found it more helpful for alternative uses than I did as a lube due to the lack of longevity of the product. It absorbed too rapidly and reapplication was very frequent.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Thin and very liquid, Smooth & Slick lube dispenses rapidly and is easy to over apply. The lube runs as soon as it touches your skin or toy, so haste in rubbing it in is necessary. This is a very messy lube that has a slippery and wet texture. Unfortunately, the texture was short lived and adding water to the area did reactivate it, but only briefly. Frequent application was the only solution for the short term lubrication time.

This has a texture resembling your natural wetness, but the slippery glide is very short. The lube seems to absorb into the skin very rapidly, which rules out those pesky balls of goo you can accumulate with other lubes. The glide is a bit catchy on your skin, so definitely add a dab more than you usually apply.

Being water based, this does rinse off and dissipates in water. A quick swipe with a washcloth removes almost all of the lube and leaves your areas feeling natural. There is no greasy or oily feeling while suing it or after it has absorbed.

Taste / Aroma

Taste:
This is not recommended for application on areas that will be receiving oral attention! The taste is horrible and resembles the chemicals used in facial cleansers. I always get a bit on my lips when washing my face and just hate the flavor. This flavor lasts for about 15-20 minutes, long after the lube has absorbed.

Aroma:
The smell is faint, but is very acrid. It reminds me of Witch Hazel and unscented facial cleanser, very chemical and disinfecting. It does not linger in your skin very long, about 5-10 minutes, but is a deterrent for areas near oral performance. I could not help but wrinkle my nose after using this on a sleeve for my hubby and then performing oral sex.

Performance

I have to say this does do the job, but only for a very short and messy time. Rapid dispensing and thin, a mess is almost guaranteed. Luckily, it does not stain material of any type and washes right out of your bedding or lingerie.

I found the lube only lasts about 15-20 minutes of toy use and about another 5 minutes after that for penetration. I usually have no need of further lube during penetration but felt almost dry after using the Smooth & Slick lube. This does contain Glycerin so beware if you are allergic!

Smooth & Slick was an excellent household helper, however, and works very well for tasks other than sexual lubrication. I now keep the bottle in the garage, but did peel off the label to prevent any embarrassment.

Personal comments

~Add to a screw prior to inserting it into wood, this will ease the screw in, swell the wood and allow the wood to form around the screw ridges when it dries. This prevents it from falling out or becoming loose in the future.

~Place a dab on the earring post prior to inserting it into your ear. This will prevent accidental tearing of tissues inside and allows the backing to slide on easier.

~Mechanics: Place a dab on the male side of a vacuum hose or fuel line prior to connection. They slide together easily and the lube will dissipate rapidly.

~Going fishing? Add lube to the carton of earthworms to keep them hydrated and alive.

~A dab of lube with thickened lip gloss or on your eyelid prior to applying eyeshadow will help the gloss thin out for easy spreading and sets the shadow color to your lids.
Follow-up commentary
This is not my personal go to lube--but it will do in a pinch. I do love it for its other uses, though!! In the garage, definitely a keeper!

Are you serious about the earthworms? I've never heard of doing that before! (Not that I've ever been fishing...)

Dead serious!!! The dirt gets too fry and adding a bit of lube helps keep it moist longer and adds to their icky sliminess. No--fishes do not taste it--water based lube is gone before they have a snack! (It also does not harm the worms--we have let many of them go after a day of fishing and now have one worm bumpy area of yard!!!!!Maybe they like the added glide as well, lol!!)
