You know when you buy a product with a descriptive name and it doesn't deliver? Well I'm pleased to report that this isn't one of those products. 'Moist Anal Lube' is a great, moist anal lube!

The bottle is a good size (at 4 fl oz - it's pretty travel friendly too) water-based lube that we found to be perfect for bedroom play. It fits well in the hand which might seem an odd thing to notice but you obviously don't want something that's awkward to use and the pump action is great. It has a fairly deep recess in the top of the pump, meaning that it's easy to dispense more if your hands are slippery. A gripe here is that the bottle could really do with one or two indentations on the side making it easier to grip when it's slippery - if you've already got lube on your hands then the bottle develops a mind of its own!

The official line on this is that it's all-natural and odorless. The all-natural part wasn't a big selling point for us but it's definitely a plus. As with anything that's going to be applied and/or inserted you should check to make sure that there's nothing on the list of ingredients that might give you problems. Also, while it IS odorless, it's not tasteless, so if you're going to go eating your partner sans protection you might want to do it before applying this stuff. We tried to taste a drop for the sake of this review and found it to be something like bitter aniseed/licorice and isn't particularly pleasant.

What WAS pleasant though was the fact that this really did work as per the description. While it's not as thick as we expected it to be having read numerous reviews and descriptions, it absolutely gets the job done. I'd say it feels something like thick water (sorry, it's all I can think of, lol). It doesn't run but it's not gloopy either. Whether it's down to the natural ingredients or not I don't know, but it has a somewhat natural feel to it. It kind of reminds me of when I (female half of the couple) get really wet naturally, so I'd describe this as being like a woman's wetness when she's really turned on.

We've read other reviews that said this wasn't so good for vaginal use. We had no intention of using it for that but did it anyway in the interests of science and fair & balanced reviews (and as an excuse for another shag, lol). It did its job there too, although in our experience was a little too slippery vaginally. Whether you see that as a positive or negative is subjective, especially when you bear in mind that this is marketed as an anal lube. We found that it also works great between the breasts if your man likes to rub his little friend there as well as a masturbation lubricant if you use them.

We may not be the most experienced on here but we've tried different lubes over the years. Some have been for vaginal play, most for anal. This is one that definitely does the trick.

Being parents of small kids (bear with me, this is relevant) means that much of our playing has to be done discreetly. Besides, we bought this as part of our introduction to pegging so ordered it knowing that 90% of its use is going to be with our Silicone toys. The reason that those points are relevant is that Moist Anal Lube is fairly discreet and great for use between the sheets since it really doesn't stain and is easy to clean up off your body parts with a little soap and water. We've used other lubes for anal that have left a bit of a sticky mess and/or stained our sheets but this behaved wonderfully. Another big plus is the fact that it goes a long way. Naturally we wanted to make sure that there was a LOT of lube on both dildo and hubby's ass and I've got to say that with the amount we used I half expected to see a good deal gone the next morning, but nope. This stuff really seems to go a long way.

When we've used other lubes for anal (like KY or Astroglide), we've had to constantly reapply more. Now while we did have to use a little more as we went along, the Moist Anal Lube really lasted well. My hubby's got one of the tightest little holes in Christendom but once we'd got all lubed up and started we were able to easily go 20 minutes or more of pretty intense fucking before having to reapply. That was definitely nice and very unexpected!

During use, the lube seemed to get a little thicker as time went on but still remained slick. Despite this, clean up was quick and easy and washed right off us and our dildo with no problem.

This has turned out to be a tricky one to follow-up. We do still like this lube and it still does the job we bought it for, so nothing's changed there. However, we've since purchased the Sliquid Sassy Booty lube and found that to be even better than this, so that has now become our go-to lube, especially for anal.
