I Love the Smell of Leather in the Morning...
The niche for this product is very specific, but if you're into the leather scene they I have no doubt you'll enjoy this stuff.

Pros
Good texture, leather-lovers would like the smell
Cons
Questionable ingredients, not condom-compatible
As I mentioned in my Boy Butter review a few months back, oil-based lube and masturbation cream are not really my thing. Being uncut, I don't generally need, or even like, lube when I masturbate. And since it is certainly not condom compatible, I usually would not have any use for it. However, the idea of the leather scent sparked my interest with this stuff.
I will say that I'm not wild about the ID brand in general. I've become a bit of a lube and toy snob over the last year, and prefer companies that take care to make their products body-safe. Since the container doesn't say "paraben free", I have no reason to believe that it isn't festering with the stuff. But since it's for external use only, how much damage could it really do? I also applaud ID for not stating that it would make a great anal lube, because I fill with rage whenever something that not latex-compatible is advertised for anal use.
I expected to open the container and have my room be completely overpowered by that artificial aroma of leather, but I actually had to hold the jar close to my nose to smell it. The scent is clearly that of leather, and it's quite realistic, but in liquid form it reminds me of shoe polish. Which may be a turn on for some people.
Although the ingredients are completely different, the texture of the cream was very similar to Boy Butter. And although I said I don't like lube when I masturbate, I must say I had a very pleasant experience with it. However, I would only recommend the leather scent to those who are REALLY into leather and get turned on by the smell of it. If you aren't into leather, I would seek out a different product.

Thank you for viewing ID Him lubricating cream leather scent – water-based lubricant review page!
Did you consider emailing anyone representing ID lubes to find out more information on the product?
Also, I didn't read your review on boy butter. So I have no idea what you said in that review.
Did you know that most people come across each review as a stand alone page, usually from the product page? It helps if you give complete full reviews, despite how repetitive it may feel.
Try out the mentor program, The program really helps flesh out your review, and helps make them more useful.
There is a lot of information you can add! You gave it four stars, but you didn't really give reasons why you should try this product, with the exception that it smells like leather.
All of the product info is readily available on the product page for those who want to find it so shorter reviews are spot on for those of us who don't want to read a repetition of what we've already looked at.
I disagree that most people come across the review as a stand alone page. Most of the reviewing community does, as they browse reviews. Most customers browse products and see the product page first, then move on to reviews.
In short, each type of review has its purpose and I think this one is just peachy.
I agree with a couple people above, reviews are best when they're not formulaic.
