It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of the Wicked line of lubricants. The Aqua Flavored is the same Aqua that I know and love, with the added touch of a great smell and taste. Aqua is a great lube, and any time you would use it you could replace it with Aqua Flavored if you wanted to. Or, you could choose to save the flavored version for oral play. It's really up to you.

With a name like Aqua Flavored, it's pretty obvious that it's a water based lube with a flavoring added. It is best suited for solo masturbation use, male or female, or for vaginal play. It works very well for those times when you want to insert a larger sized toy vaginally but haven't produced enough of your own lube to make the toy glide comfortably. It feels very much like my own natural lubrication, and doesn't disrupt or distract from the experience. It's a great lube to use with your silicone toys, when you can't use silicone lubes.

Aqua is safe to use with latex, so you can use this lube around condoms safely. It is paraben and fragrance free, and is made without using any animal products, which may be of particular interest to Vegans since they will be ingesting it. In addition to those wonderful features, Wicked products are made in America.

I wouldn't recommend this lube for anal use, as it is fairly thin and would be hard to insert anally or coat a toy heavily enough for smooth anal play. In a pinch you could certainly use it for anal, but you might end up reapplying quite a lot. Also, as a water based lube it doesn't work well in the bathtub or shower, as it just washes away. You could also use this lube for body massage, and the smell would complement the experience nicely.

Here is a basic run down of the ingredients. Please review it and see if you have any allergy concerns, or there are any ingredients in this lube that you would prefer to avoid. Everyone has their own preferences when it comes to these things.

Water -- good old H20

Glycerin -- used as a means of improving smoothness, providing lubrication and as a humectant, some people avoid lubes with glycerin, so if you are one of those people this won't be the lube for you

Cellulose Gum -- commonly used as a thickening agent in health and beauty products

Stevia Rebaudiana Extract -- extract from the stevia plant, used as a sweetener and sugar substitute

Olea Europea (Olive) Leaf Extract -- a concentration of the liquid of the leaves from an olive plant, this has been marketed as having various anti-aging, immunostimulator, and antibiotic properties

Hydroxyethylcellulose -- another thickening/gelling agent used in various household products, cleaners and cosmetics

Tetrasodium EDTA -- in shampoos, cleaners and other personal care products EDTA salts are added as a sequestering agent to improve their stability in air

Citric Acid -- used as a PH adjusting agent in personal care products

Sodium Benzoate -- a preservative

Potassium Sorbate -- inhibits the growth of mold and microbes and increases shelf life

Flavor -- this one is a bit of a mystery, they don't really disclose what they're using for flavoring

It should come as no surprise that a product called Aqua is fairly watery in consistency as well. It is thin and runny, but not quite as thin and runny as actual water would be. It feels nice in your hand, and coats surfaces evenly. When you place a small amount on your hand, you will need to hurry and put it where you want it so that it doesn't run out of your hand before you get it to its destination. The pump really helps to solve this problem, by allowing you to do some pinpoint application, so you can just apply it directly where you need it.

Aqua does stay where you put it, and creates an even surface with a smooth glide. There is no greasy or sticky feeling, even after a bit of use. It absorbs into your skin eventually, as water based lubes tend to do, but there is no residual film to worry about afterwards. When it does soak it or get absorbed by your skin, your skin is left feeling soft and moisturized, with a nice apple smell as a bonus.

Aqua Flavored is clear, which I am glad for. They don't add any artificial colors. The smell is very earthy and natural. It smells like freshly sliced apples with a bit of a spiciness to it. The smell is very mild, and you really have to get close to the lube to smell anything at all.

The taste is very surprising. Usually with flavored lubes, you get a very artificial flavor with an aftertaste of artificial sweetener. I usually feel like I need to rinse my mouth out right away, or like the sickening sweet fake taste has left a film in my mouth.

With Aqua Flavored Candy Apple, the taste is shockingly, amazingly good. It reminds me of the crisp air and crunchy leaves of a fall day. It has a twist of cinnamon with a natural apple cider flavor. The taste is mild and very real. It reminds you of a baked apple with fall spices.

But the best part about the flavor of Aqua Flavored is that it doesn't leave any sort of bad taste in your mouth. It doesn't feel like it leaves a coating or film in your mouth or throat. The sweetness that is present doesn't taste artificial and yucky. I couldn't be happier with the taste of this lube. It is the only flavored lube I have ever enjoyed.

I was hoping this one would perform just as well as Aqua, and I wasn't disappointed. It really sticks around. Most of the time, reapplication isn't necessary at all. If I use Aqua at the start of a session for inserting a toy vaginally, usually my natural lubrication will take over, pair with it nicely, and no further application of lube is needed. It's the same for Aqua Flavored. For clitoral stimulation, once in a while I will need to reapply a second time, but only a small amount. After play, it can be washed off or left to be absorbed by the skin. There is no icky or sticky feeling after use, and no greasy or slimy residue. If you choose to wash it off, it washes off cleanly and easily. It also washes off toys very easily. I have had no issues with residue or staining on any toys I've used with this lube.

Aqua Flavored mimics natural lubrication, just like Aqua does. Obviously the smell and taste aren't the same, but the texture and consistency are very close. I can use Aqua and Aqua Flavored for play sessions for up to an hour with no need to reapply, unless I want to add more flavor.

Obviously, most people buy flavored lube for oral sex purposes. Aqua Flavored works well for that. I doesn't feel gloppy or thick in your mouth. It blends well with your saliva and doesn't distract from the experience.

Wicked Aqua Flavored comes in a very modern, classy black pump bottle. The pump action works well, and I have not had it leak at all. You can lock the pump between uses, which means you can throw it in a bag or toy box without being worried about it leaking. It dispenses a normal amount with each pump, not too much or too little.

The bottle contains ingredients and useful information about the product. It is classy and wouldn't look out of place on your bathroom counter among your other personal care products. It does say intimate lubricant, so anyone who took a close look would know what it was used for. If you don't want others to know you have it, you can just put it in a drawer or behind other things.
