Use

Sliquid H2O is a wonderful water-based lubricant that's glycerine and paraben free, vegan and containing very few ingredients. It's completely safe to use on all your toys regardless of their material and safe for use with latex condoms. As the product page states, this non-staining lube is made to emulate your own natural lubrication and I feel it does that very well. However, since this is indeed a water-based lube, it can and will be absorbed into the skin and may not be thick enough or last long enough for anal sex.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Sliquid H2O is thin in consistency and a bit runny. It is slick, non-greasy and pours easily from the bottle. Only a small amount is needed and I felt that this really did mimic my own natural lubrication.

The product page lists only four ingredients, but the bottle actually lists five: Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from Cotton), Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioners), Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid.

Taste / Aroma

There is a very slight soapy scent and taste to this lube, though it’s not at all unpleasant. The faint smell isn't in the least overpowering and I have to hold the bottle right under my nose and take a huge whiff to smell it. I didn't find the taste very bitter, but I prefer actual flavored lubes for oral so I'm not going to worry about the taste of this.

Performance

Because Sliquid H2O is water-based, washing it off is a breeze. That is if you even have to! After using this with some of my toys, I didn't notice any residue or stickiness. Actually, it felt like I hadn't used any product at all. It absorbed nicely and didn't bead or dry out my skin.

To reactivate the lube, just add water or reapply. I personally did not need to reapply this product nor did I try to reactivate it with water. This lasted for quite some time while masturbating (lasting longer than I did), though I do see this probably needing a reapplication during marathon sex sessions.

Also, as stated above, I do not see this being thick enough to be long lasting for anal sex, unless you have no problem with reapplying. And this would not be the best lube to use in the shower, hot tub, etc, because it will simply wash away.

But the best thing about this lube is what it is missing. It is glycerine and paraben free! It's also hypoallergenic, non-staining, and latex, rubber, and plastic friendly (so it's safe to use with condoms and all toy materials).

Packaging

Sliquid H2O comes in a 4.2 oz bottle that I find quite pretty. While not entirely discreet (it says "Natural Intimate Lubricant" on the front), it doesn't offend. The label is a lovely shade of blue with white lettering. While the label does picture a large flower shape and several smaller ones, the packaging doesn't scream "girlie".

The plastic bottle is also quite firm and thick and I don't see it cracking or even so much as denting if dropped. The cap is a simple push-top that's still easy to use if your fingers are wet or covered in lube. I have also noticed absolutely no gunkiness in the cap's opening or any leaking. The label also recommends that you recycle the bottle when done with the product. On the bottom of the bottle, the tiny triangular recycling mark contains the number 1, which means that the resin used to make this bottle is the easiest to recycle.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Does not leak

Experience

I'm not one to usually use lubricants because I easily produce enough of my own so as not to find sex or toy use uncomfortable. But after the purchase of a vaginal exerciser, I decided to also purchase some lube to save time and not have to get myself "worked up" to use said exerciser.

Even though I have never had any reactions to glycerine, I did want to get something a little more natural. That's where Sliquid H2O comes in! I love that it contains so very few ingredients, it has no added flavor or fragrance and is vegan (though I am not). Sure, I could have paid far less for a generic (glycerine containing) lube at the drugstore, but I'd rather shell out a bit more for something with less (and natural!) ingredients and prettier packaging. Plus this feels so much like my own natural juices, something I can't say of that cheaper drugstore lube.

All in all I love this product. I've experienced absolutely no adverse reactions from its use, it works exactly as it should, cleans up easily, does not need to be constantly reapplied, and comes in a pretty bottle that I don't mind leaving out in plain sight. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a natural, water-based lubricant.
Follow-up commentary
I've never been much of a lube girl because I do well producing my own, but I absolutely love Sliquid H2O! I've been using it every chance I can, and I've barely put a dent in the bottle. Very little is needed and it still feels like my own juices. It works wonderfully for giving hand jobs as well and washes off so easily. I'm very glad I purchased this product. If I ever run out, I'll definitely buy another bottle!
