Gun Oil is Great!

You really can't go wrong with silicone lubes, but Gun Oil seems to have something that may of the others don't. While it provides the same long lasting, very slick, non-sticky feeling of other silicone-lubricants, Gun Oil combines all that with the inclusion of Vitamin E and aloe to leave your skin feeling silky. It's great for doubling as a massage lotion, and a little bit will definitely go a long way! Gun Oil is most definitely worth a purchase!

Gun Oil is a silicone-based lubricant. This means that it is super slick (it almost has the consistency and slickness of baby oil), odorless and tasteless, will never get sticky or tacky, and will never dry up. A little bit will definitely go a long way (a dime-sized amount should be sufficient for most types of play). You will have to wash it off, though, as the silicone molecules in the lubricant are larger than your pores, so it doesn't get absorbed into the skin like a water-based lubricant does (hence the not-drying-up factor. Also what makes it great for sex in water; water won't wash the lube away). It's also latex safe. However, don't use silicone-based lubes on silicone toys, as you'll ruin your toy!

Silicone-based lube is great for use in/under water, and is also nice for anal play, since we do not self-lubricate back there. Another added perk of silicone lube is that it serves double duty as a great massage oil! Also, if you have sensitive skin, silicone lubricants are great, because there really are not very many ingredients and they are completely non-irritating. We used to have a customer at my store who had reactions to every single lube she ever tried (even water-based lubes that were supposed to be good for people with sensitive skin) except for silicone-based lubricants.

Most silicone-based lubricants are very similar (unlike many water-based lubes), but Gun Oil is by far my favorite. It contains Vitamin E and Aloe, and therefore moisturizes your skin when you use it. It leaves your skin feeling soft and silky, which is never a bad thing! And all that moisturizing really makes it great for giving massages with!

Another plus of the Gun Oil is that it tends to be on the less expensive end of silicone lubricants, even though all of them give you great bang for your buck. Even though it may seem like silicone lubricants are expensive, a little bit will go a very long way. A dime sized amount should serve you well, and since you don't have to reapply, it should last you a long time!
Follow-up commentary
I stand by my original review of this product 100%. A small bottle has lasted me a long while. A little really does go a long way! And I still love the way it leaves my skin feeling.
