Great potential for hand job
Maximus by itself is too slippery for masturbation. You can't get a good grip! However, mixing Maximus with Cetaphil moisturizing lotion changes the experience entirely, luxurious sensation! Works well in the shower.

Pros
clear, thick lube without smell, very slippery
Cons
too slick to work well by itself
I always wanted to try masturbating in the shower. Not necessarily all the way to orgasm, but to wake up the penis in the morning so to speak. I tried a few different kinds of lubricant with so so results. A common problem was the lubricant dissolving too quickly in the shower environment. I feel that a pure silicon lube has the opposite problem in that sensation actually requires some friction to be present.
Maximus is a water based lubricant. From reading reviews at Eden Fantasys, I believe it not to be too runny or quick dissolving, and that is why I decided to give it a try. The consistency of the lubricant is somewhat jelly like. The lube itself is transparent and without noticeable smells. Maximus proves to be a slippery lube, too slippery for my initial try-out. I did not like the extremely slick sensation; it was just too artificial for me.
It occurred to me that mixing some less slick lotions in the mix could produce a different experience. So I tried Maximus with my Cetaphil moisturizing lotion that happened to be close by. The result was amazing. This mixture gave me a very pleasurable experience the first time I tried it out. This was still completely water soluble and washed out without messy residues, and yet one application lasted quite a long time even with the shower still running.
The result was so good that I almost masturbated to orgasm. But you know what? I have to save my stuff for my wife. I am ready to try Maximus vaginally as well. I believe that you should not settle for so-so lubricant. The right lube could do so much to improve our sex life. I know the different lubricants from Eden Fantasys did make a difference in mine.
I would encourage fellow reviewers to mix up your lubes a bit. The result could be mind blowing.
