I picked up a bottle of JO H2O after being dissastified with a previous water-based lubricant I'd purchased. I wanted something long-lasting that I could use with my silicone toys. It was definitely an improvement over my previous lubricant choice, but it's still not perfect.

Being water-based, this is a safe choice for use on toys and condoms. (Silicone lubes will degrade silicone toys and oil-based lubricants are not safe to use with latex condoms.) It is also reasonably long-lasting, so I would say that this is a solid choice as a general purpose personal lubricant. You can feel confident using it with toys or condoms, regardless of material. It doesn't feature any special effects or flavours (no heating, tingling, or numbing, etc.), but sometimes you just want a good, solid, basic lube.

I find JO H2O to be somewhat thicker and more viscous than other water-based lubes that I've tried. It is reasonably easy to pour and dispense and seems to stay in place well. Unfortunately, it does leave behind a rather displeasing, slightly tacky residue. It does, however, clean up very easily with just a quick rinse of water.

As this isn't a flavoured lube, it doesn't have of a scent or taste to it. If you do happen to get some in your mouth, you will find it has a slightly sweet flavour. So, this is not an unpleasant choice if you wish to use it for oral sex applications.

I found this lube to last longer than other water-based lubes although it still doesn't last as long as I'd like for some of my play sessions. You will definitely want to rinse off after using this lube as it leaves behind a somewhat uncomfortable, slightly sticky residue. It's quite easy to clean up; just a quick rinse with water will do the trick.

Overall, this lube is great because it is compatible with pretty much any material out there. It's also thicker and longer lasting than some of the other water-based lubes on the market, which is nice. It has a pleasant, slightly sweet flavour and is just a good general purpose, all-round lubricant. However, you may still need to re-apply over the course of your play session and it does leave behind an unpleasant residue. A good prouct, but not without its drawbacks.

The packaging is functional and practical, but nothing terribly special. The click open top on the screw cap can be operated with one hand. The bottle does not leak and can safely be stored on its side. The bottle is also clear so you can easily see how much you have left.
