Glide Right On In
For the moment, this is our normal go-to lube. I really like the Wet Synergy. For some reason we use this one more; maybe it’s because my husband grabs the lube 99.9% of the time. It's cheap and adds that extra slippery-ness that you look for in a lube without the leftover yuckiness on your genitals. Unfortunately, the lid and ingredients make it a three star lube.

What Is This?
This is obviously lube, a water based lube to be more specific. And by "obviously" I mean Astroglide is a well-known name in the world of personal lubricants. If you left this laying out and company saw it, you'd be busted. The bottle is clear with a flip top lid that pours too easily; if this is left even a smidgen open and falls on its side you are going to have one slippery mess on your hands. The stickers on the bottle state the name of the lubricant and that it is a personal lubricant. The back gives directions on how to use it, some cautions and care tips, and of course, the ingredients.
My bottle says it's ingredients are: Purified Water, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Polyquaternium 15, Methylparaben, and Propylparaben, but Eden's product page does not list: Polyquaternium 15 and Propylparaben, but does say it contains: Sodium Benzoate, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Aspartame. Since it does contain parabens and glycerin, you should be wary of this product if you are sensitive to these ingredients or are prone to yeast infections and UTI's.
Cautions & Care, It's Just Lube!
The back of the products states in red that this "is not a spermicide or contraceptive." Meaning, you still have to use some form of protection with this if you don't want mini you's coming along in about nine months. It also says, in red, "Do not use if inner seal is loose or missing." The inner seal is just a piece of foil that you peel off before use. If it is missing or loose, assume the product has been tampered with and do not use it!
You should store this product at room temperature, right side up (unless you like the thought of that mess I mentioned above). And the obviously, keep out of reach of children. Discontinue use and consult a doctor if irritation or discomfort occurs. It also states that "Astroglide is extremely slippery- clean spills immediately." Because this is water based, it won't stain your clothes or sheets and can be used with all toys. It easily washes off with soap and water (or just water if you prefer,) and doesn't leave a sticky feeling when rubbed completely in.
Why & How Would I Use This Product?
The bottle says "Apply to genital area. Vary amount to achieve desired lubrication. To enhance condom use, add a small amount to the inner and outer surfaces." I know that most of you already know this, but my sister has asked me quite a few times "But how do you use it? Why would you use lube?" You use lube to avoid chaffing, to enhance pleasure, and to make insertion easier. Again, if you have allergies or are sensitive to parabens and glycerin do not use, or use caution when using this lube.
You cannot use this lube in the shower, but you can use it with any type of toy. And it is not thick enough for anal use. I haven't and will not taste it, but it does have an unplaceable clinical smell to it.

Experience
After applying, if we don't completely rub it in to our hands or wipe off our hands, we have a sticky film left over. If that's not appealing to you, then keep something to wipe your hands off on after applying. We apply about a dime sized amount to begin with and have found that we have to reapply a dime sized amount once or twice during a 30 minute love making session. We also have to make 100% sure that we completely closed the lid or we get a big mess if the bottle falls over. We have not traveled with this lube because of the lid, and I wouldn't suggest you do.
Follow-up commentary
24 months after original review
We no longer use this brand. It is very generic and basic compared to the exotic love we have found with hybrids, silicone, and flavored lubes!
