Five minutes to failure
Astroglide's Glycerin and Paraben Free lube was one of the worst lube fails that I have had with any lover. It couldn't hold up to anything, not even last for five minutes before it got tossed aside.

Pros
good for those with allergies
Cons
doesn't last long at all.
The older that I get, the more that I need lube. I think this may be true for any woman that is getting out of their 20s, it's been for any of them that I know personally and that I talk openly about sex. Yes, a lot of my reviews are for lubes or things of the like, but there is a reason for it. Those natural water works aren't working as good as they used to work at all. And anyone that has ever been penetrated knows that when your are playing and you dry out can feel horrid and painful.
But what even sucks more than not starting wet enough for sex, is having lube fail, especially when it happens only minutes after the lube is applied. Major suck!
Astroglide's Glycerine and Paraben Free lube was one of the worst lube fails that I have ever had. It's a water based lube. Supposedly this is the new shiny formula that is supposed to last much longer. I'm wondering how long the old formula lasted if this is supposed to be better. It has no fragrance or taste. It actually won't stain sheets or fabrics. It also cleans up very fast with a bit of water and soap or a post sex wipe. It's made from purified water, butylene glycol, xylitol, propylene glycol, and polyquaternium 15. Because it's free of glycerin and paraben, it's wonderful for people with allergies. I didn't have any reaction at all to it.
However, not even five minutes after I put this version of Astroglide on I had to reapply it. A few minutes after that, I was grabbing a totally different type of lube just to stay moist. I have never had such bad lube fail. I have had some that I have had allergic reactions to or i will have to reapply after a while, but not in less than five minutes.
I will never pick this one up again. The bottle got tossed out.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
My husband and I tossed out or bottle of Astroglide Glycerine and Paraben Free lube after it failed us so badly. There is no real point in keeping it around if it doesn't work at all for you.
