Finally a decent paraben-free lube!

If you are looking for a water-based, body safe lube without any particular bells or whistles, this beautifully silky lube gets the job done. It is not slippery enough for anal play and needs to be re-applied every so often, but the lack of a tacky finish and simple formulation definitely raises the bar for gel-like, body safe lube.

According to my partner, it also makes a decent hair gel.

Use

Finding the perfect water-based lube for me has become somewhat of an obsessive quest. No matter how aroused I am and regardless of how much foreplay, I'm dry as the freaking Sahara down there. Nothing kills the mood faster than feeling like your partner or toy is coated in sandpaper. To further my lube woes, I'm allergic to parabens, present in most lubes available at mass market retailers.

So, if you are in the market for a paraben-, glycerin-free, and water-based lube, V is pretty decent. It's definitely not thick enough for anal, but gets the job done for front door entry and slicking up the genitals. If you have some amount of natural lubrication, this mixes in beautifully and feels natural and silky.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This lube has the consistency of moderately thick hair-gel and is beautifully silky. When I first opened the package and rubbed some into my hand, I was amazed at just how silky it felt. It melted into the skin just like a nice hand lotion would. Most gel lubes, in my experience, tend to leave a tacky, sticky finish (yeah, I'm looking at you Astroglide gel, aka super glue). You don't have the burning need for a shower after using this lube, barring any other things you may have added into playtime.

The lube rubbed vigorously into the skin for ten seconds an still holding on strong.

Taste / Aroma

This product has virutally no smell, but has a slight, bitter soapy taste. Nothing unmanageable, but definitely there. I'd recommend holding off on applying if you have oral scheduled on the menu.

Performance

It still liquifies pretty quickly for a gel lube and the last power isn't the greatest. Again, as I am so dry and have so little natural lubrication, I think this would be less of a problem for more moist ladies. It absorbs so quickly into the skin so I wouldn't recommend it for anal, as you want your anal lube to coat the canal and retain a cushion-y texture.

I find I need to reapply about every ten minutes or so, but a little bit of water re-moistens things fairly well. I'm impressed that it remains SO silky and it spreads beautifully. I'm so used to slathering on the lube but a dime size amount is enough.

If this was a little longer lasting and remained cushiony for longer, it'd be my perfect lube. Alas, I think I have to resign myself to silicone lube for anal play.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural
    • Reapply often

Packaging

The tube is a simple, elegant clear squeeze tube that is very pliable, so you can be assured to get out every last drop. It says lubricant right on the front, so definitely put it in your usual hidey-hole. It opens with a sturdy flip cap.

The text on the back states:

-For ultra-sensitive individuals
-Dermatologically formulated
-Hypoallergenic
-Water-based
-Glycerin and paraben-free

Apologies for the less than stellar quality, but my cellphone camera is all I have access to at the moment.

I was hoping this would last long, I'm not very dry but I'd say maybe average but I don't like having to re-apply in a short period. I had this on my wishlist, just not sure now. Thanks for the review.

    @Zombirella;

There are other lubes available in the line if you're not set on a paraben- and glycerin-free, but unfortunately with glycerin as a heavier base being replaced with cellulose, the skin just soaks it in that much quicker. Cellulose has much less density than glycerin, apparently even in a gel formulation.

Thank you everyone for the comments and feedback!
