Creative Synergy
If you are willing to take the chance you can enjoy your silicone toys with a premium quality 90% water, 10% silicone formulation that optimizes safety and efficacy. Also, if you are just looking for a better than water-based experience for your normal (non-toy) sexual activities - but not willing to go 100% silicone, Wet Synergy is certainly worth trying out.

Pros
Thicker than silicone and longer lasting than all water-based formulations
Cons
May or may not be safe for silicone toys
Let's face it - when you try to combine the best of two products, you run the risk of combining the worst of those products as well. So kudos to Wet for taking risks to bring out a truly new product. Based on sales and the number of reviews to date (this is the 30th) - the interest in a new product must be quite high.
A quick review of water and silicone based lubes:
Water-based strengths = these lubes are know to be the safest lube especially for those of us who use silicone toys.
Water-based weaknesses = these lubes can get sticky & need frequent reapplication. Some users have issues with ingredients
Silicone-based strengths = these lubes are supper slippery & long lasting and are referred by many for anal play
Silicone-based weaknesses = these lubes cannot be used with silicone toys. Some have issues with ingredients
So the ideal combination would yield a long lasting, very slippery lube that is great for anal play - yet safe for silicone toys.
So has Wet Synergy met it's design objectives? Obviously the following is my opinion on their level of success.
I give Wet high-marks for this 1st generation 'synergy' product. I say 1st generation because I assume that they will continue to experiment with combinations to improve the product.
Wet Synergy is indeed slicker than the water-based products that we have used - and it definitely lasts longer between re-applications. But at just 10% silicone those who love the supper long lasting slippery 100% silicone products may be disappointed. However if you are coming from the water-based world - you should find Wet Synergy a big step up in performance!
Now the unanswerable - is it safe for silicone toys? Here again this opinion - not fact. If you are determined that your silicone toys should last forever, you probably will not want to expose them to even a little bit of silicone. However, we have used Wet Synergy with silicone and Vixskin products and have not seen any noticeable damage - I'm OK with that. It may take months or years to really learn the answer to this question.
So my conclusion is buyer beware, know what you want and what risks your willing to take. For my money Wet Synergy does give me the option of leveraging the advantages of silicone - even with our silicone toys. You may come to a different conclusion.

Experience
Our first experience with Wet Synergy was a bit disappointing - but the problem was due to a lack of experience with this type of lube. Wet Synergy is primarily (90%) water-based - and we don't use it - our primary lube is YES oil-based lube.
So when my wife first tried to use Wet Synergy - she was not familiar with the thick consistency - or the need to use more product. Because she was using this for me anally - the conclusion was that it was not effective.
After experimenting with the lube on my own - I advised my wife to use much more product and the results were much improved. The lubrication was adequate for anal play and relatively long lasting. Reapplication was necessary - but so much that it interfered with our fun.
Part of the motivation here is to find something that works for me for anal play that is less expensive than the premium YES lube that we use for my wife. If money were no object - it would be all YES - all the time. However as a compromise - Wet Synergy is great - especially because so many people are averse to oil-based products.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
Wet Synergy is a good product. It has not replaced YES as our favorite - but it does all of the things it claims to do. I would recommend this to someone who likes water-based lubes - but is looking for something more slippery.

I got to try this (sample size) once and I was really pleased... but I'm still confused about which toys could be used?
-
souviet - i've used it on all of my toys - including silicone. but with silicone toys there could be damage over time. you just have to decide if its worth the risk.

I don't know - you know how I love my VixSkins... I may stick with my fave water and oil based lubes for now.
