Chocolate Cock - Better Than It Sounds
JO Lubricants hits an absolute home run with their Flavored H2O lube. Water based but with a silky consistency, this lubricant has all the benefits of a silicone based lube with none of the drawbacks. Compatible with all your favorite silicone toys, you can use it as a regular toy lube or slather a generous amount on your partner's breasts, thighs, and whatever else for a lickable friction-reducing treat.

Pros
Clever flip top, water based but feels like silicone, delicious, no artificial sweeteners
Cons
Contains glycerine and parabens, slightly bitter aftertaste, not great for intercourse
Maybe blowjobs aren't your favorite activity in the bedroom, but you know your partner loves them and want to treat him to one every now and again. Maybe you love going down on your girlfriend but maybe she doesn't produce as much natural lubricant and you find your mouth uncomfortably dry after ten minutes. Or maybe your oral sex already rocks, but you're always interested in ways to make it even better. Don't fix what isn't broken? Not so with JO's H2O Flavored Lubricant. I was an adamant and well seasoned flavored lubricant opponent before this stuff. Yes, I loved lube, and I loved the idea of flavored lube, but in practice it had just failed for me over and over so many times that I had just about given up.
Oh. My. Goodness. I did a 180° after this.
For the time being I have this flavored lube in the luscious Chocolate Delight and Skittle-sweet Raspberry Sorbet flavors - both of which can be found here on Edenfantasys now that our stock has expanded to encompass all the yummy JO flavors. Until JO Lubricants you couldn't PAY me to try a chocolate flavored lube. If so many companies can't master the basics of saccharine sweet berry, why should I trust this one to capture the complexities of chocolate? Only after trying the Raspberry Sorbet did I change my mind.
Raspberry Sorbet, which admittedly doesn't taste like vine-picked raspberries, smells sweet like cotton candy if you breathe deeply from the open canister. The Chocolate Delight actually has a surprisingly similar scent straight up, probably due to the glycerine. If you dab a little of either flavor right on your index finger and lick it directly off you'll get a dose of sweetness, followed by an unpleasant bitterness, and not too much distinct flavor beyond that. I did this at first with my Raspberry and felt deflated, not realizing what I was missing. Once spread out on the skin the Chocolate - while not exactly gourmet dark or anything, has the bittersweet tang of real chocolate, the sweet simmer of milky sweetness. The Raspberry tastes like a sugary lollipop or fruity candy of some kind, but still maintaining a distinctly berry flavor. Not getting any real impression of flavor from my initial licks, I was really about to chalk it up to experience and count is as another flavored failure, but my partner dug the smell and wanted to try it on me.
And? He loved it.
I jumped the gun on this stuff, because after trying it during a blowjob and then later during some rimming, mixed with the pheromones of my lover? This stuff is amazing. Maybe it was too concentrated when I licked it straight off my finger, because the longer this is rubbed into the skin the more fragrant it becomes, the more layered and multi-dimensional the flavors are. As the skin heats the lubricant up it becomes slick and almost oily, but not greasy - more like the "dry" oiliness of a silicone lube. It's plenty slippery for anal play, but unfortunately because it's water based it dries up more quickly than most anal enthusiasts will like. I don't recommend this for vaginal because of the potential for the glycerine to harbor yeast growth. However, if you have successfully used lubes with glycerine in them without any yeast infections then go ahead and use your own good judgment for this. I veer way on the side of caution with yeast infections as I'm prone to them, so if you are too then steer clear of this for vaginal use.
Because it's water based this lubricant is great for use with silicone toys, and I actually think this is excellent for use with small silicone anal toys. As well all know, anal play doesn't always smell like a bed of roses. However, with a little sweet tasting and sweet smelling lube involved? It can be a lot more pleasant. As I mentioned, it does dry up faster than an oil or silicone base, so I use this in the short term for a 10 or 15 minute warm up with a small plug. It also makes post-plug rimming MUCH more fun! One of the best things about this lube is that it's not the least bit sticky, so if there's a little left behind after your playtime is over there's no rush to go scrub your body down. It also makes this fun to dab on other parts of the body as well. Rub a little on your neck, chest and thighs before hitting the sheets and send your partner out to seek out the scented sweet spots with their nose and tongue. It gets all of the senses revved up and ready for more action.

Experience
Besides the taste, I'm always amazed with this stuff for one surprising little reason. Seriously, I fail to ever grow bored of the flip top on this thing! There is a red button below the cap, which you depress, triggering the release of the lid. It's not exactly genius, but it's pretty clever and after dozens of times opening and closing this I still love it.
I must recommend storing these bottles carefully, however. Unlike some other flip tops that require some firm leverage to open, a relatively small amount of pressure on this button sets the whole thing ajar and potentially leaking all over your stuff. Keep these in the upright position and preferably in a plastic bag in case something accidentally triggers the button. Not really a con per se, but it's something to be careful of as with all lubes.
Other than that little cautionary note? Enjoy this stuff! If flavored lube has left you puckered and as bitter as the taste lingering in your mouth too many times before, give JO a shot before you call it quits altogether. There is a slight bitter aftertaste to this lubricant, but it's mild and once you work this stuff into the skin it becomes more fragrant and much more yummy. All in all I can't think of a better flavored lube - it's worth the price too, because a small amount will give you great coverage.

Follow-up commentary
7 months after original review
Unlike many other flavored lubes I've tried, this one has a pretty crazy long expiration date. My Sliquid Flavored Lube expired only a few short months after getting to me, but this has another few YEARS on it. And? It still tastes great. It hasn't gotten bitter or funky or otherwise un-sexy over time. I like to open my bottles of lube up and air them out every few weeks, especially if I haven't used them in a while. My nose is always met with a pleasant, yummy/sweet scent when I do this with my JO H2O. Absolutely love it. If you've had bad luck with flavored lubes, before you give up DO give this one a try.
