With this product being a flavored lube, I assume it is aimed at use during oral sex (whether guy goes down on girl, girl goes down on girl, etc.). Also, I personally find flavored lubes almost always have to be wiped off before regular sex because they are sticky or have irritating ingredients (when left to sit on your bits). This lubricant is no different. While I appreciate the hypoallergenic, sugar-free attempt, the glycerine and clear sugar-substitute seem like a bad idea. Even sugar-substitutes can feed a yeast infection, and many experience reactions to glycerine. That being said, I'm afraid this product won't appeal to many at all. It'll appeal to even fewer when I explain how badly it tastes. Plus, the lid is kind of weak and screams trouble to me.

Truth be told, this lubricant isn't runny (probably because it is a gel). If I put a drop on my hand and turn my hand, it doesn't even move. That would be a pro if it weren't so sticky and difficult to get off as well. It doesn't rub into the skin, and reapplication is not an issue because of this. However, after a time, it dries very sticky and even somewhat tacky on the skin. Even though it's water-based, the residue lingers if soap and water aren't used to wash it off. This is a huge inconvenience for those who can stomach the taste, but want to wash it off before sex. It does have a smooth texture, but it takes some force to pour a decent amount from the bottle. I imagine that as this bottle becomes more empty, it would be difficult to get the remainder of the lube out.

The "fake" blueberry scent is hard to miss. I really wanted a lighter, more natural smell. The smell is also quite powerful, and therefore those individuals who have sensitive noses like myself might find themselves steering clear of this one. There is a chemical almost putty-like aftertaste. It's not the worst thing I've ever tasted, but it's bad enough to keep me from using this as an oral lube, which completely defeats the purpose of the flavoring. I thought perhaps shaking the lube would help with both the aftertaste and awkward smell (maybe it had just settled?), but that wasn't the case. There are several other flavor options, so it's possible that there is a smell/taste out there that is more agreeable.

As previously mentioned, this product does have staying power. I think the gel form keeps it from absorbing as easily as other lubricants, and this prevents the need to reapply. However, it does need to be washed off with soap and water to avoid a lasting residue. What initially drew me to the product was both the unique blueberry flavor as well as the packaging. The bottle is really pretty, and I get tired of the typical cherry flavored lubes. I think I expected this to taste more like a blueberry muffin though, and that's completely incorrect. There are concerns about irritation though due to the glycerine and sugar-substitute. Finally, this product gets sticky and at times almost tacky. This isn't a product I can recommend nor would I ever purchase it again.

This is a "made in the USA" product. The bottle I received is 3.5 oz. I think this is a decent amount for a flavored lube, as this is more for occasional use in my opinion. The cap is poorly enforced, and I can see the lid snapping off at some point or possibly leaking. Still, the design is really pretty. The blue and the pictures of blueberries on the front drew me in. There is even an indent for easy grip. The bottle has to be squeezed to get the lubricant out, which may be an issue towards the end of the bottle.

The bottle also contains quite a bit of information with the directions offered in several languages, a warning section, and an ingredient list. I generally list the ingredients, but the two important ingredients have been covered, and quite frankly, not a lot of people know what the other ingredients actually are anyway. It requires an hour long Google search just to figure out that a certain ingredient is a preservative, which still doesn't tell you the side effects of that preservative or how it compares with others. It's just important to know that there are a lot of ingredients (over a dozen), and this is in no way organic, so if you have sensitivities, it's better to just skip this lubricant altogether.
