Anal Lube With Attitude

This is a great water based lube that is thick, making it good for anal play, and definitely reduces discomfort. There are little beads in the lubricant, but they really can’t be felt during use. I recommend this for anyone looking for a thick, long-lasting lubricant.

Use

Climax Bursts Anal from Topco Sales is a good lube for those just starting out with anal play, but those who are more experienced seem to love this lube too. It is water based, so it is fine to use with condoms, glass, silicone, and any other toy materials.

I have used this vaginally, but it contains talc, so it’s up to you how you feel about using this lube. I always wash up right away, so I don’t have any problems with it. The lube is L-Arginine free, but contains parabens. Be sure to look the ingredients over to make sure there’s nothing that will irritate you. The ingredients are: Water, Glyceryl, Polymethacrylate, Hydroxyethyl Urea, Propylene Glycol, Mannitol, Cellulose, Mica, Acrylate/Ammonium Methacrylate Copolymer, Titanium Dioxide, Talc, Triethyl Citrate, Hydroxypropyl, Methylcellulose, Phenoxyethanol, Chlorphenesin, Methylparaben, Benzoic Acid.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The lube is thick, and will stay in place very well. I think Maximus might be a bit thicker, but this is still a great lube. It tends to get a bit thinner as soon as you spread it around, or create any kind of friction with it, but I never have to reapply it.

You can feel the beads with your fingers, but otherwise the lube is smooth and slick. It’s non-greasy, and absorbs nicely in the skin, but it is still a good idea to wash off because it does contain talc. It will wash off easily with soap and warm water.

Taste / Aroma

Neither the taste or the smell are pleasant qualities of this lube. It smells like alcohol, but it is only a light smell. This lube isn’t meant for ingestion. Suffice it to say, it tastes horrible with a bitter aftertaste.

Performance

This is a great anal lube, just be aware of the little beads because they might annoy some people. You can pop the beads before using. They are supposed to be Vitamin E beads, but when I pop them, they still feel kind of grainy. There is also a heating feature, but I don’t notice any warming at all.

The lube isn’t too difficult to dispense. The lid can open in two ways. You can twist it open, or pull the ball up and it will pop off revealing a little tube. The tube is meant for injecting the lube inside you with a gentle squeeze of the bottle. I prefer just to twist the cap open, and pour the lube because then I know how much I’m getting. The lube pours slowly, so you won’t get a large amount at one time unless you want to.

Packaging

The packaging is very minimal. The lube was just placed in a plastic bag in case of leakage, but that didn’t occur. All the information you need to know about the lube is on the bottle’s label. The bottle has anal lubricant written on it, but it doesn’t stand out, and it will easily blend in with other lotion bottles.

Experience

I prefer thicker lubes because they reduce friction and eliminate drag much better than thin, runny lubricants. As someone new to anal play, this lube is a great place to start. The beads give the lube an interesting quality that others don’t have, and I think they are kind of fun. It is $10 for 4 oz which is great for a thick lubricant.
Follow-up commentary
I ended up throwing this lube away, even though I hate wasting things. The smell became to overwhelming, and it doesn't even stay thick for very long. Maximous is so much better. The alcohol smell from this lube is just sickening, but I'd be willing to try another lube from this line.

Great review Schwaltze! I'm curious, is it just the thickness that makes a difference between vaginal and anal lubes? Im still a newb I suppose lol Thanks again!

I never thought of taking the cap off to inject it but I don't think that is meant to happen (most of mine have not come off) or a good idea anyway.
    Great review.

@sktb0007 it's all a matter of preference, but this lube shouldn't really be used vaginally.
@Dwtim thanks for reading. Some people like having that option to put lube directly up there, but you really don't know how much your getting, so I don't think it's a great idea either.
