Anal lube? Cancer?

This product contains Talc, a harmful, cancer causing toxic when inhaled or absorbed into the skin. It's just not worth the risk to me. What I don't get is that the same company has provided Talc-free powder with some of their masterbators, yet this contains it. Just use cornstarch or attempt to find a non-talc powder. Better safe than sorry.

Use

I'm not sure why this is categorized as an anal lube. I don't see how it ever could be. It does have a few uses though. This powder helps ease the changing of Vac-U-Lock compatible dildos and toys. It also can be used to help preserve the life of certain materials, particularly ones that are in toys used for penetration. This is why I got it. I had read that it is Talc free...it is not. The first ingredient listed is Talc. I'll get to why this is an issue. Regardless, it does work well for the purpose. You just might want to invest in a gas mask.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This is a powder that looks and feels just like corn starch. It has the following ingredients: Talc, Aluminum Starch Ocetenylsuccinate, and Silica.

Talc is an incredibly unsafe material. Baseline: it causes cancer! Similar to asbestos (also a carcinogen) it is harmful if inhaled by breathing it in. It is really hard to use this product and not get the powder in the air. Most commonly, Talc can cause tumors in the lungs and ovaries(but is not limited to those areas). Even in regulated small amounts, studies by pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies have found cancerous tumors in their animal subjects.

Aluminum Starch Ocetenylsuccinate is also toxic to humans. It is a neurotoxin. It affects the nervous system. It is also harmful if inhaled.

Silica is a safe material unless it is in powder form as it is here. It is also harmful if inhaled.

These materials have been approved to be in small amounts for many common products but, like I said, it is impossible to use this product without getting it in the air. It's simply not worth the risk when there are safe alternatives.

Taste / Aroma

Since I researched the ingredients prior to use, there is no way that I am ingesting or inhaling this on purpose. I did not notice a smell.

Performance

The powder comes in a tube that works like an accordion. You squeeze it up from the bottom to shoot powder out the needle nose type tip. It comes with a cover by the way. You only need a little for an average size sleeve. You might need a larger amount for larger toys. You can use your hands to spread it around or put it in a Ziplock bag, squirt it in, and then shake the bag to cover the surface of the toy. It's easy to use, but does also easily get in the air which is why I won't be using this after knowing the toxic ingredients. It will restore skin like feel to materials like TPR, TPE, cyberskin, UR3 3.0, or Futurotic. It will reduce stickiness and also adsorb moisture. Consequently, it will help repel things that would normally stick to the material.

Packaging

the bottle is .5 ounces/14 grams. I had a much smaller tube of Talc-free powder before this one and it lasted a really long time. If you choose to use this, it will last you an even longer time. It also comes in a yellow, carboard box. It has pics that show how to use it, a pic of the product, and the ingredients. It says it is made in the USA but mentions nothing about the health risks.

Follow-up commentary
There is not much to say. I threw this out and am still searching for a non-dangerous version on this site. There isn't any that I have found.
