KY has a wide variety of uses! I have used it for sexual intercourse to assist with the insertion of menstrual products(tampons), and my midwives used it during our home birth. It is always a good choice because of the simplicity of the product. It is water based, so it would not hold up well during water play though. There is glycerin in this product as well. If you're sensitive to that perhaps this is not the choice for you.

It comes out like a gel, comparable to maybe styling gel for your hair. It is relatively thick, but it is smooth. It does not stick, or leave a residue. It's water based, and water-soluble. It is a non-irritating lubricant, in my experience.

There is absolutely no smell or taste to this product. It has no smell that lingers after use either.

A little bit of lube can really last a while. I suppose it also depends on how active you are and for how long, and if there's anything working against you like a fan blowing. When applying, it is cold! You can warm it up by rubbing between your fingers first if that bothers you.

It comes in a white box with details of the contents. The outer box is completely recyclable, and the tube it comes in is a flip top, not a screw off top. It is easy to use with one hand!

We have had this stored upside down, sideways and upright and have never had any leaks with the product in storage. It is good to use with latex condoms and silicone toys. I don't find that reapplication is necessary unless you're sexually active for a longer period of time, and in that instance I find that it is very easy to reapply (again, one handed while your other can play with your partner or self!).

For basic use, I definitely would purchase this again. For more excitement I would likely try another KY product (such as his and hers, or the warming one).

I have used this product for wide variety of purposes, and in all cases it worked great. It is helpful for menstrual tampon insertion for those who are dry, sexual intercourse, foreplay, etc. It can also be used as a gel for a simple over-the-counter fetal doppler (may not work with some). It was used during my home birth during the pushing stages of childbirth.
